I love this map, and whoever doesn't is just weird. I mean who doesn't wanna walk into a dungeon filled with treasures
traps, monsters, and a possible permanent bedrock jail????
I did a play through of the map. (Don't know if you want more...) link below.
I already saw all the videos long before this was posted :laugh.gif:

Hey look buddy, I'm a builder. That means I build custom maps. Not maps like "Escapecraft 3", because that would fall within the purview of your idea of most puzzle maps. I build adventure maps. For instance, how am I going to allow some big old forum user to enjoy adventure to the fullest? The answer? Use a pyramid. And if that don't work, use more pyramid. Like this big, old, dusty pyramid designed by me. Built by me. And you'd best hope... being played by you.
The texture pack should be included in the .zip downloaded. If you want to know what the texture pack is made out of, read the "info" file included in the download.

Does this map have an adventure storyline (with notes) or is it a series of puzzle rooms?
It does not have a series of notes that you read while playing the game if that is what you mean.
But it does have a story line to some extent. The first part is the previous exploration note which can be found on the main page. That is a note left by a previous explorer. This note is only used to show what happens to past explorers who tried (and failed) what you are about to do.
Part 1 (This is the text version. If you wish to read the picture version you will need to go to the main page):
6/24/1921; 10:32 pm; Day 7- It is too dangerous to go out right now. I think I'll wait until morning to go find some resources. The pyramid, it's just horrible. I don't even if it's worth being out here anymore. But, the riches are just too great to leave now. I must find the treasure room before I run out of food. I managed to gather a some dirt. Maybe I can actually grow trees and food now! I'm down to my last tools, I'll go back to the pyramid in the morn---
6/25/1921; 8:02 am; Day 8- I managed to fight them off. They just came out of the sand. My house didn't seem to survive too well. I don't have a house anymore. This is another thing added to my already big list of problems. Dehydration, starvation, lack of supplies, and now a lack of shelter. I need to get into the pyramid by tomorrow or... I am not sure what will happen to me.
6/26/1921; 12:51 pm; Day 9- I... I can't go on any longer. I will leave this journal, dirt, and whatever is left of my supplies here for anybody who finds this dreadful place after I'm gone. If you are out there reading this, whatever you do, stay away from th---- No! NO! Stay ba--!
And the second part is the modern exploration (This can be found in the info.txt file in the download. This is the main storyline). It tells of an explorer who is sent out to explore a pyramid that is assumed to be "untouched". It does not mention the previous exploration because the evidence has never been found (Again, I only included the previous exploration to tell what happens to past explorers who dared to try what the you are about to try).
Part 2:
Okay, a little about myself: I am an archaeologist who was assigned to search the desert for the mysterious 'Pyramid of Minecraft' which is rumored to be the resting place of the ancient pharaoh Markus Persson, or known as Notch by his empire. Many claim its all a hoax, but that is why I am here. To find out the real truth about all this. Oh yea, and the gold. I... want... that... gold! Ohhh yes! The treasure will be mine! All mine! And none for you, boss! MINE! Errr.. *ahem* getting off topic here. I need to get to that tomb. Thats most likely where all the treasure will b... I mean where the pharaoh will be. I have a few items, but supplies are running short due to getting lost many times out here. Better not let my greed get to me though because legend has it that there are many, many traps that lie inside. The ancient minecraftians were excellent trap makers from what my studies show after all. Oh, and I almost forgot! There is a legendary "crystal-blue" dye that has been handed down for ages by the minecraftians. There are only a few left in existence today and I, for one, believe the last of them is stored in the pyramid. Mostly because nobody has dared to enter it and retrieve them... until today! I can't even begin the imagine what they must be worth these days!

hey sorry if these are stupid questions but when you say your going to work on mcpyramid 2 do you mean your still working on mcpyramid 1 to make it more awsome(like you said your making sand dunes and mini tumes) or are you going to make a fresh new world with a new pyramid. and if its a knew world is it goin to look the same on the inside of the pyramid like mcpyramid 1 or will it totally be different.

It's a complete remake. MCPyramid 1 is finished. No more updates to it unless I need to update the texture pack or because some update breaks it (I'm talking to you, Notch). MCPyramid 2 will be a different pyramid, different desert that has detail this time, mini "pyramids" that can be found around the desert if you explore, and completely new traps. To answer the second question (is it going to look the same on the inside of the pyramid like MCPyramid 1 or will it totally be different?), yes. The entrance will be different, but the general design of the outside of the pyramid (sand covering bedrock in a pyramid shape) is not going anywhere. But there is another thing I changed: there is a... "surprise"... that I put in to the design of the pyramid. You will notice it when you play it.

thank you for the awnsers to my questions it really help find out whats goin on with mcpyramid hope 1.8 will be finnaly out so mcpyramid 2 will be out aswell it will be so muh fun, by the way mcpyramid 1 was a blast alittle frightening but awsome i had the greatest time playing and i went through the pyramid like 50 times and left with 43 lapis lazuli 34 if you dont dont have the lapis blok but anyways 43 is my best again had a great time with mcpyramid
hey i have a few ideas for mcpyramid 2 1. maybe a fake treasure rooms full of tresure but its the wrong room so you blow up or somthing lol. 2. posibly a long huge maze full of tresure but if you pik up the wrong item in the room the door loks on you and you die or posibly find a way out buut there will be more rooms within the maze so it will be hard to find them all. finnaly. maybe a room with a portal to the neather that will have many other rumes as well but that will take a long time so it probibly wont be a posibility
i have completed all the challenges in the map but, let me tell you replacing all the sand on the pyramid with sandstone isnt imposible, it just takes along time and determenation, and it did take a long time to gather all the sand from the surronding area to make it possible so it took me about 6 hours none stop playing lol:p. but call me crazzy i did it. i'd like to say this is a great map and hope mcpyramid 2 will be out soon:p. oh and i got 43 lapis at the end of the game, im still caculating how much points ill have using the old score systom.
traps, monsters, and a possible permanent bedrock jail????
