This was the most fun I've ever had on Minecraft before. Hands down.
I made it to the treasure room after only dying twice. =)
I found the key was to thrive outside first until you get enough wood and charcol, then the inside is pretty simple once you know what to expect.
Yeah, the key is to have a shitload of torches which means collecting bones for bone meal, plenty of sandstone, and a real lot of bread. So, at least a few days need to be spent on collecting bones and arrows, digging sand and planting trees. Also, most of the traps can be defused by placing the torch on the ground in suspicious places.
I found first floor to be harder because there were many monsters and not that many puzzles, which meant lots of fighting and placing torches. After I reached the second floor, the pace changed. It was more calm, with less fighting but plenty of exploration and thinking. It really kicked ass. It felt real, and adventurous. I loved the second floor. Do want more :biggrin.gif:
Ah, I hoped it was something cooler than that. Anyway, where is the secret exit somebody mentioned earlier? Or is it already gone?

Hey look buddy, I'm a builder. That means I build custom maps. Not maps like "Escapecraft 3", because that would fall within the purview of your idea of most puzzle maps. I build adventure maps. For instance, how am I going to allow some big old forum user to enjoy adventure to the fullest? The answer? Use a pyramid. And if that don't work, use more pyramid. Like this big, old, dusty pyramid designed by me. Built by me. And you'd best hope... being played by you.

Might try to get my friend over to do some english commentary and try to make a lets play on this pyramid map (Dual Commentary ^^)
Edit1: My friend doesn't want to do commentary in english, so is it a problem we just talk dutch?

Here's a sponge on a stick for ya :wink.gif:
You also don't just need to eat bread! If you don't plant anything, and let the grass grow over the dirt, animals might spawn, giving you some delicious

well, I would prefer a language most people can understand, so that might be a problem. Can you do it by yourself, or with no commentary?

OK, let me rise a few points. This IS the best map I've played i MC, and here's some input:
- I know the reason you removed the alternate exit, but having it would boost the feeling of accomplishment and really add to the atmosphere. Who cares if you can enter from outside? You can also abandon the desert, go dig some diamonds and return, yet no one cares.
- the long tunnel at the end made me think something epic is coming, and I ended being disappointed a bit.
- for some reason most pressure plates were already triggered for me (I'm talking about the single ones, leading to a long fall)
- monster spawner idea was genius, I was lucky to escape
- more armor would be great, especially some leather one, since mobs rape so hard
- if you fall into the trap and die while having a metal pick you're pretty much screwed
I'll think of more input later :smile.gif:. Thanks again for an awesome adventure!

All part of the game! This makes it more realistic, I don't want it to be too easy. Want leather armor? Forget the :....:! Let the grass grow, and let animals spawn. You get for :Ham:, and cows for armor. When playing this, you have the plan what you are going to do. Grow plants or spawn animals? All up to you. I might add the alternative exit at the end again, but I have to find a way to hide it. The long hallway:
Its a trap!
The pressure plates are probably triggered by monsters walking around. They also sometimes trigger traps. No way around that. For armor, well like I said, plan your moves and raise cows and pigs. If you fall into a trap, its not my problem. All part of the game. Thats why they are there.

oh my god >.< I kill myself quite often xD It's naha! f you monster spawner! *removes block of sand* FUU!!!!! >.< *falls down* I even said ow look this is a trap, but still i made it collapse XD altough i'm kinda lost on where to go atm so i decided to take a break :tongue.gif:
tip: Maybe some more torches to start with would be nice as the tree takes some time to grow and not everyone know the boonmeal fast grow trick :biggrin.gif:. on the initial floor with the lava/chest trap i survived but didn't had enough sand to make it to the other way. Also there are a few TNT traps which are not working due they wont blow up the bedrock pieces.

Yea I know, they aren't supposed to blow them up. Might change that though, make it more lethal! May add a few more torches to spawn though. Thinking about that.

Tip: Make charcoal for torches. You will need them later when you get to the second level. The traps are really difficult down there.
