Finally made it to the treasure room!! Only to fall for the dual trap in there and die :sad.gif: but i made it!! >_<. There needs to be more of these puzzle type adventures on minecraft, they are too entertaining to pass up.

to you sir
Not even safe in the treasure room hahahaha! Thank god you died there though, you would cry if you found out the only way out is the way you came in! Back into the pyramid for you! Its not that hard going back though. From the treasure room you get enough armor to barely take damage, and enough food to survive in lava for a while, and enough treasure to make even the richest person on minecraft be jealous!

Hey look buddy, I'm a builder. That means I build custom maps. Not maps like "Escapecraft 3", because that would fall within the purview of your idea of most puzzle maps. I build adventure maps. For instance, how am I going to allow some big old forum user to enjoy adventure to the fullest? The answer? Use a pyramid. And if that don't work, use more pyramid. Like this big, old, dusty pyramid designed by me. Built by me. And you'd best hope... being played by you.
I was busy exploring the pyramid, avoiding traps, and harvesting pressure plates (for mob traps around my house later. :biggrin.gif: ) when I suddenly realized something: I didn't have a base built yet, and the suns down. So I ran to make a rudimentary wall around my crops, then built a pillar of sand straight in the sky. Now I have spiders attempting to climb it, and zombies growling at me while I wait for day. :sad.gif:
Hey man, this was great fun and very difficult to complete. Of course, after dying 8 times to your traps, I began figuring out how to avoid future ones that were similar to the ones I had encountered before.
Here are some picture of my save.
If I can make a suggestion, You should set up the arrow dispenser traps so that a gold block must be destroyed in order to set it off, and put it at the end of a 2x1 hallway so there is no where to run once set off. That way it won't always be so obvious when there is a arrow dispenser trap, and it will definitely make sure that it will kill someone the first time they encounter it.

"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever"
And how did you create this map? what programs did you use?

I used MCedit to make the map, and invedit to set the chests and items and such. All in all, the whole completed mape took me about 2 weeks to complete, with hours of work a day to get it just right! Its not easy, trust me. Setting up traps every few min, its very difficult to get them to work just how I want them to. I think it works well though.

Very good! You have defeated the pyramid, made it to the treasure room, and made a good house. I see you tripped my ceiling trap in the treasure room lol. Thats very good you figure out my traps. You really can't say they are too easy, considering you died 8 times lol. The sooner you figure out how they are set off, the better you will survive!

Nope, not at all. Must be a glitch. It might be a glitch from when I was playing around with that bucket of water given to you at the start. When I was waiting for day to come (so I don't start you guys off at night! Although... never mind... hhahahahha) before I put out the save, I was playing with water, and a couple squids spawned in it. Idk, that is strange though.

Ahahahhahahahhah! Good luck, its already hard enough without extra mobs

I can't for the life of me, however, figure where to go next. I'm on the second floor, searched all the rooms (except one). I've found the zombie spawner, huge lake of lava (crossed it over), block of lapus lazuli and an arrow dispenser and don't know where to go now...
There is one room I didn't search, the first one on the second floor with the golden block. I triggered the lava fall from outside, and now I can't enter. I hope that was an isolated room, and not the right path, otherwise I'm screwed :sad.gif:

I help. And yes, that room you triggered was not the exit.
Ok, when at the lupis block, head straight out of the room containing the block, and turn at the first right. Now your in a small hallway. Go to the end of that hallway, and turn right. The room in front of you now is a trap. The chest is a lie. Continue down past the room, and you will be raped by spiders from under the floor (ohh yes, this part is hard). Get past there, and there will be 3 room choices. 2 are trapped. 1 leads you on. The rest you have to do yourself :smile.gif:

this is my favorite map ever, but the long falls aren't enough too kill, so i got trapped a few times.
Yea some of them don't kill right away, so some of them have lava walls coming down at you to fix that hahahaha. Might be a good thing though, you have a chance to save yourself

Thanks for the input. I could not proceed because I didn't see the passage on the other way of the room, since I triggered the trap (falling floor) on purpose.
This is the room just before the spiders. Notice (I didn't) the door in the right corner:
BTW your spiders were a piece of cake. I just used a bucket from the beginning of the game with some lava I picked on the way there to pour hot melting magma on spiders' heads. Poor creatures :biggrin.gif:
I reached the final room, and looted all the awesome goodies (except striping the walls, too lazy ATM :biggrin.gif:).
HOWEVER, what is the purpose of the loooooong hallway at the end? It just drops you back at the beginning of it?? I was pissed, since I was low on health and supplies when I got there (haven't reached the treasure room yet), and also out of torches. I was forced to use redstone torches (that was all i had left) and at the very long end I just dropped back to the beginning. Confused...

Anyway, I congratulate you on a kickass map!
The purpose is that its an endless hallway. Its a trap. You keep walking and walking never to reach an end.
