It's a neat save with a few fun components people might enjoy exploring. I'm embedding some youtube videos below of some of the features. When you enter the map you'll be inside the treehouse, which is linked by portals and boosted-minecarts in the Nether with the other major locations (with the purple outline on the map above). It's fast and easy to explore. The rar file linked above also contains a high res annotated map, so you can see things at block-level.
Features (in order of relative significance)
[*:4qc8heje]Huge Treehouse - It's a big tree, about 70x70x70, there are a lot of fun things to do with it. Fast-transit portal. Large underground wheat farm. Apart from the other features it has mentioned below, it also has a lot of loot, a cute library, and vast amounts of space to build many rooms hidden in the canopy.
[*:4qc8heje]Redstone Sign - Best seen from the top of the big tree, where one of two switches are. (the other switch is just south of the sign on the little hill)
[*:4qc8heje]Boathouse - w/ switchable doors, 1 in the water. The boathouse is in the base of the Treehouse.
[*:4qc8heje]Hidden Stair - Flip a hidden lever in the desert and a staircase appears at your feet. Just south of the Desert Lair. In the save it is "open", see the youtube video below to reset it (it's pretty easy).
[*:4qc8heje]Floating Island - It's cute. It floats. It has a fast-transit portal. Connected by glass bridge just below cloud level to the Plinth and Treehouse.
[*:4qc8heje] Plinth - Perfect location to build a cool castle or palace. Looks really sharp from the Floating Island.
[*:4qc8heje]Mob Grinder - It's very large and efficient. If you leave your comp on overnight with the screen saver off, by morning your inventory will be completely full. If you just want 1 type of item, like arrows or sulfer, your inventory will be half full. The ideal camping location is marked if you enter from the Original Hidey Hole.
[*:4qc8heje] Aimable Artillery - My first playing around with cannons (artillery really). It's just north of the Desert Lair. I was using it to remove a hill I didn't like in the skyline. The peak is gone but more to do. It can be aimed to the right by using TNT on the left of the propulsion stack. The propulsion and warhead charges aren't timed, I have two levers at the observation deck so I can manually adjust the timing. I think I have a couple of stacks of TNT left. Easy to get more at the Mob Grinder.
[*:4qc8heje]Desert Lair. Fast-transit portal. In the middle of a large desert, perfect location for a desert palace. The hidden stair mentioned above is one of the two entrances.
[*:4qc8heje]Cloud Pool - architectural feature at the top center-ish of the huge tree. It's a large square 21x21 room with a cloud-filled (at times) reflection pool and a framed view of the sun as it rises in the east. Primarily built of clay.
[*:4qc8heje]Nether - I have a network of booster-powered minecarts that travel around the ceiling of the nether, linking all of the primary locations. Getting around is fast. Shooting gasts is fun. There are signs posted that indicate where each rail line goes, and the Treehouse and Desert Lair portals have trees and sand frames around each respectively. If you want to explore or harvest glowstone, there are a number of exists from the system at ground level.
[*:4qc8heje]Original Hidey Hole - Nothing too special, though I do have a few large paintings, it's primarily a utilitarian space. Some expansions include my first and second towers, level 12 mine, small wheat farm. Enter here to get to the Mob Grinder camp point fastest. Underground connection with Spawn Point, which has a fast-transit portal.
[*:4qc8heje]Underwater Room - Again not too special, but if you haven't seen one in person.. They are kind of a pain to make. Connected by tunnel to the Spawn Point.
[*:4qc8heje]B1.2 Mine - I ventured to this part of the world after the big Beta 1.2 update in order to create a mine with new content (like lapis lazuli). It's connected by portal and powered mine carts to the other portaled areas, so you can get to a new mine from anywhere in the world very quickly.

Really solid treehouse. I've just started one on a SMP server some friends run. Building it on an island in a harbour mouth. Mine will be a similar size to yours, except wider and with more stuff on the inside. I want to get a good wide leafy area up the top but that's gonna be pretty hard. Currently trying to figure out what kind of things I should do near the top, I'm thinking I might make a branch out partway up as well.
I can't play much and getting the amount of wood needed (~4000) takes a long time so it's probably a couple of weekends away.
