I cheated a little to get through the second room, what I did was:
I opened the door with the hidden button, then stood in the door, which allows you to move freely after it closes, and I destroyed the button, picked it up, then went into the hallway to the next door, and placed the button to open it.
The big redstone room can actually "beaten" by placing only 1 dust.
The rightmost.
Sadly, I did it on peaceful since mob spawning is currently horked.
Although, I did do the "elevator" room without using an
unlimited water spawn. Just a bucket and 2 water source blocks.
That was fun but a pain.
Cool idea, good implementation, I'd suggest giving just the minimal amount of items necessary and plan for people to bring stuff with them (no reason to give mats for a bucket in two separate rooms when you only need one overall.)
Another idea would be to have a single chest of "supplies" at the beginning of the dungeon and deciding the best items to craft to make it through the unknown rooms.
About 2/3rd of the way done. I've eliminated the "furnace hunting" mechanic is favor of more logic-based puzzles. There will be a combat-oriented room (which should be a LOT of fun by the way).
And best of all? I believe I have fixed the spawn issue for this new level, so if you die you can try again without restarting/hacking!!!
Can you actually activate switches through paintings? I tried, and it wasn't working for me even when I was pointing right AT the hidden switch :sad.gif: .....so I ended up just taking them down. Sorry......
That being said.....I LOVE THIS! It's amazing! :biggrin.gif:

Evryone's complaining about the hum-hum... it's quite simple. I think the hum-hum is fair.
It IS fair. The creator did it correctly. The complaining players did it correctly. The problem lies within the game not making the hum-hum hit the hum-hum even if hum-hum'd correctly.

You shouldn't have to activate anything THROUGH the painting...
There should be buttons around the paintings, that open a door behind the painting.
This is why the next installment will not rely upon "glitch" mechanics (like the painting/door thing).
Speaking of which, 7 rooms down - some of them are terrific multi-part puzzles that should be extremely challenging and fun.

Yeah, I JUUUUUST discovered that the buttons are right in plain sight...and I knew about the painting glitch too...>_< I felt so dumb.
Now I'm working on the redstone circuitry....it's tricky....

I used my second, superfluous bucket in this room.
Filled with lava :biggrin.gif:
Everytime I went to the red stone room though, a creeper was there to surprise me :sad.gif:
