I got a glitch on this level, building a plank bridge to celestial wastelands, I placed the last block so that it was directly above the edge of the ground, then minecraft froze, later the screen went black. It happened twice in a row, both times sending me back to floaty beach and making me journey all the way again.
Similar thing. The Desert is cursed in a way that you will have trouble leaving and entering through a man-made bridge. only place I have encountered that.
I'm aware of the Celestial Wastelands issue. Turns it out it's massive amounts of sand trying to all fall at once in certain sections. I'm going to upload a fixed version real soon. And sorry, there is no known way of just fixing the affected area on your current save (I suppose you could try just overwriting the files with newer files only, but it's not guaranteed) so it's highly recommended that you place it into it's own directory if you're still attached to your current save.
And naughty naughty, Crymson... Hopefully all of you aren't trying to CHEAT like with the oldschool Konami Code or otherwise a CREEPER will come and get you.
edit: Whoops I think I uploaded it with a save starting you off at the Celestial Wastelands heh. Reuploading it, no need to redownload as you can just use the password tool to start you back at Casa de Cielo (if you want... )
I'm having some problems with empyrean mountains, if i try to place a block one space off of the side minecraft crashes (and gives me a crash report), I've tried it in multiple areas and also re-downloaded the map to no avail. (it also happens on both sides, on the way in on a bridge and also on the way out)
Could you be more specific as to where you're trying to place the block? Also is there lots of floating sand/gravel around you?
edit: nm, I'm experiencing the same issue as well. Might be something to do with the ice. I'll look into it.
Not sure if it would be the ice, I say that because originally I was building a bridge far above ground level (like 20 blocks at least) towards the "continent" from ascension forest and had the same problem twice. Then again I have no idea about these kinds of things.
Also just wanted to add that I do really like the map, like Catgoth said, it's like playing a whole new game.
Well I just replaced all the ice except for the top layer with water and now it doesn't seem to crash when placing blocks around the perimeter as it did before. So hopefully this fixes it.
What my theory is is that when the game performs chunk updates for elements such as sand/gravel/ice/etc it can only handle so much before it overflows and craps out. For some reason the game doesn't like more than 1 layer of ice in massive quantities.
v1.2b coming soon, and sorry once again for any inconvenience
I LOVE IT!
I fell, but caught myself on the water:
