Tell me, does this mean MORE goddamn jump challenges?
Nope. In the first tower there's a bit of platforming, but no actual "jumping areas." If I do add any to the other towers, they'd probably just last a floor anyways.
This is a video showing off the concept for the second tower. You have to destroy the ground by luring the creepers into blowing up and taking as little damage as possible. Once you get far enough down, you have to worry about creepers jumping down at you from the holes you made. It gets pretty fun, but it's hard, of course. :smile.gif: There'll be a checkpoint in the actual finished version, and possibly secrets as well.
That was really fun, I just finished it. I had to start over soooo many times because I just got backed into a corner. :<
I really liked the pig level, I thought that was ingenious. The pigs knocked me off so many times though. I think the 6th level was the hardest for me, it took a lot of hack-n-slash hehe.
Third release is out now... this includes the final four-towers level, boat "level" and ending area. And many, many bug fixes. Lemme know what you guys think and if I've missed anything.
I played v2 last night, and I enjoyed it, despite some ridiculous difficulty.
v3 seems to be impossible to finish, since the first level there is absolutely no way to get to the top. Its all two block high ledges. I even cheated to get to the top and checked the entire area. It seems you deleted the only way up there.

Hm, that's odd. If you're referring to the VERY first level where you jump on glass blocks over lava, it works fine for me. Maybe something got messed up when you extracted the zip. Try deleting the world folder and re-extracting.
Idea for an "easy" mode with less spawners. In areas of high mob concentration, have a torch or torches you hit to make it easier. When the torch is hit, it acts as a sand trap to block off a certain number of spawners in the area.

I don't understand why people are smoking out this idea, I'm not that big a fan of WoW, but can you guys at least give reasons as to why you are opposed to this?

Just for everyone's information, I will be creating an easier version of the map eventually... but I want to solve all the bugs and problems in this release first. Otherwise, I'll be stuck fixing the bugs in two versions... which would suck. And since I don't really know what bugs and problems there are, please post here and tell me if you encounter any. I have written a few problems down in the OP but I'm sure there are at least a few more.
I think if I make an easier version, the current version would become the SMP co-operative version. I doubt the game could handle many more mob spawners than there currently are in the map anyways.
I just wanted to say that this was amazing- this got more reaction out of me than any game I've played recently. I was playing through with a friend and quite often found myself amazing, jumping, or laughing at certain points...
This is by far the best "dungeon" type minecraft map and I played it straight through in one sitting (took several hours!)
*SPOILERS*
You even got me with the fake redstone ore... >_>
I felt played
With lots of ladders?
Or maybe holes filled with water.
Yep, or just higher platforms maybe.

Haha, whoops! I tested it like five times but for some reason I never thought to test if I hit it on the side... that shall be fixed.

It's something I just randomly came up with.
(if it doesn't work, it's not done uploading yet)

I'll re-copy the map over after dinner and play peaceful back to where I was. :tongue.gif:
Hm, thanks. Not a bad idea. I'll keep in mind.
Nope, not really... I might have a video of me going through the first five or six levels on youtube. I also might do an LP of the map sometime.
I like it
The Quick Fix!
Click the creeper!
They deserve it. ^^
