I've only really experienced lag in the pig area myself. But I've found that there you can reduce the fog, and change the graphics settings to fast and it runs for me at ~130fps as opposed to ~30. And thanks guys. On another note, I saw my map being played on brocraft, which put a grin on my face. :smile.gif:
whoops, lol. I didn't realize that the lava's burning effect had such a long range.
Apparently some lava underground was causing it as well... I think.
I love this, but there are two problems I found. The entrance room needs brighter lighting, since monsters spawn in it constantly. Shadowy corners are bad. Also, in the lava jumping puzzle, the large rock with the corner jumps can be bypassed by going around the other way and then climbing up to the top.

I kind of like seeing mobs occasionally in the entrance room, so I'm not sure if I'll change that, but thanks for the heads up. That bit about the jumping part I'll definitely have to fix. Thanks!

Also, I forgot to add, use dropbox to host files. It's soooooo much easier, and it's free:
Played through, and i gotta say the level design is pretty epic. Love the "mysterious tunnel." That being said, the water buckets are wayyy too good, as it let me skip the entire pig room as well as skip the minecart level.

I don't understand why people are smoking out this idea, I'm not that big a fan of WoW, but can you guys at least give reasons as to why you are opposed to this?

Hm, that is something I'll need to think about.
Edit: I've added new screenshots in the first post. This is the path leading to what will likely be the final level.
Regarding the water bucket problem... earlier today I saw that sponges were in the game - something I was completely unaware of before. So while I thought "that solves that", as you can see, the problem is actually quite far from being solved:
So I made a nice little fountain out of sponges. Oh well. I do have ideas for fixing the water bucket, but it'll be a fair amount of work so I'm just focusing on the last level right now.
Most of the area leading up to the last level is done. It's a pretty neat little (huge) boat ride level. Anyways, I have a good idea of the shape of the last level - it'll involve towers, and descending them instead of ascending like in the previous level. Here's a prototype version of what will be in the last level:
The tower is fairly simple, but I did have to go through a couple of designs before I chose this one. It will look much better after the lighting is done, and it is actually in the map. It is 25 blocks in diameter, 120 blocks high and takes up 75,000 blocks in space. Yes, the level I'm working on will use the full available height in infdev currently. I'm thinking there will be four of these towers and a central 'main base' tower between all of them. Since the last level will probably be pretty hard there will be separate rooms with better equipment for restocking if you die. I've also set it up so that the final room will be pretty close to the spawn point, of course (although the room itself is huge). Since there'll be a central tower, setting up checkpoints within the separate towers will be easy. The objective of the level will probably be to reach the bottom of each tower, and then hit a switch, which will open a door at the top of the map; there'll be four succeeding doors, one for each tower. So I think this level will be pretty cool, although tough and quite long. I want to try as hard as I can to make the insides of the towers unique. It'll be hard, but I'm sure I'll come up with some more ideas.
Good job, it was lots of fun, though I had difficulty climbing the glass in the first room, in the second set (the one that goes up the tower) the first block was just too far away from the second and on top of that it was one higher so I had to cheat and put down a block for me to climb up, I never have been good at jumping games lol. Also you can easily cheat in the pig level without buckets of water, once you get to a high enough platform you can jump into the water you have coming down from the side next to the pig spawns and swim up to the top and walk all the way across to the other side.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm going to have to re-work the pig level spawners pretty thoroughly. Thanks for the heads-up.
It's a really fun and great level, and I realize it's a work in progress, but is the ending supposed to be that anticlimactic? Not so much as a "In Construction" sign?

Thanks! And yeah, I suppose I could add something like that if I do another release before the next level is completed.
I've added instructions in the original post. gl hf! :smile.gif:
So I just open the .rar with a program and do what? Rename the contents and put them in the save folder? I'm on a Mac btw.
I'm not 100% sure, but in your saves folder there should be world1-5 folders. If you want to, back-up your world2 folder by renaming it to anything, then yeah. There should be a world2 folder in the .rar, so you just replace the previous world2 folder.
And here's a sneak peek of the last level for you guys:
It's 160x160x125, or 3.2 million blocks in size. The brightness/fog probably won't actually be as bad as it is in this photo when you're actually playing it, as you'll mostly be in the center of the room (not at the extreme edge, like I am) or inside a tower. All I've done so far is placed the towers, and I've only done the outsides of the towers. I'll probably do the towers one at a time and put a release out after each one. I'll probably have to rely on minecarts quite a bit for navigation, but we'll see.

There's an entrance to the wooden tower at one corner of it. Or there should be, anyways.
The wood tower is the last level atm. It's too dark in there for you, or do you mean outside?
After going through it again, I have noticed that some parts of the wood tower are pretty dark. I've added a few torches in it.

It's mainly one of those "magic pocket" programs, but it will double as a file-hosting thingamajig.

Alright, thanks. I'll try it out. :smile.gif:

Hm..? That's what I did, no? Or do you mean .zip instead of .rar?
