I am hoping that my question is asked in the right section of this forum. If not please suggestion the right place. I am sorry if this question is inappropriate to you one way or another.
So my son went to a minecraft summer camp and at the end he has a USB drive with his "game files" saved. There was also an instruction of how to import those game files into a newly installed version of Minecraft. After some research I suspect that he was using the "java" version of the game at the summer camp.
Now I have purchased the windows 10 edition of the game as a holiday gift for him, and installed it on a windows 10 PC. I am trying to follow this instruction
- Open the Window Icon (start menu) on the bottom left of the screen
- Type in %appdata% in the search bar
- Open the Minecraft file --> saves
- Open the USB files
- Copy and paste all the USB files in to the the saves file in Minecraft
And obviously it didn't work. Can anyone please help me on how to import those files so my son can continue on his games?
