I'm here to share my blog post on how to import custom sound effects into your games.
Ever wanted to replace the default door sound with a long creaking effect for your horror adventure map? Or add fast-paced music to your parkour map? Or add a countdown sound effect for your multiplayer racing map? Read the tutorial and find out how!
I have updated the blog post with a way of writing your own JSON's, since readers often felt uncomfortable downloading the JSONator. Hopefully this will answer all of your custom sound file questions!
Sorry, I'm not sure what the issue could be. If you like, I can make the json for you if you send me the folder with all the files in. Once the bulk of the jsons are converted, you might just need to add a few more to your project which is more manageable manually.

Hey, the JSONator does not work for me!
It keeps saying it requires some dll files, but shouldn't the program have them?
I am currently trying to get all the dll files because I have a massive list of sounds, and do not want to do them by hand.
Anyway you can help?
Hm, that's odd. Are you perhaps using a Mac? I'm not sure why else it wouldn't be working. So the program won't open for you at all?
Nope, Windows 8 PC. It opens the command prompt but keeps crashing

Cool, program works! Anybody wanting to make a resource pack with sounds, use this!
After trying to mess with the Resource Pack Workbench program and it not working, I used this program to do it easily
i have the same problem .. and my computer is Windows 8 like yours
Are you using a final slash at the end of the folder location that you typed in?
