I've had my account for a very long time. I can't remember the exact year but it is still a legacy account. I can't transfer it over because the email that it is connected to is so old it has disappeared. Nor can I get my transaction Id because again it was so long ago I have no clue where I could look. Regardless I was doing fine without the new Mojang account. But as of yesterday my login just isn't working at all. I know for an absolute fact I'm typing it in correctly and also that it really couldn't have been stolen because how do you even reset the password on an old minecraft account without the new format? So support sent me the basic "try these things" that only pertain to people who have emails and such so I am wondering. What can I do about this? I feel like my account is just lost now and there is nothing I could have done to prevent it.

If you haven't been around any alt dispensers, then you can contact Mojang for account problems.
You could also post a HijackThis log.
Download: https://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/files/2.0.5%20beta/HijackThis.exe/download
Run HijackThis as Administrator, choose "I accept", then "Do a system scan and save a log file". After a while a text file will open. Copy everything, put the log on https://paste.ubuntu.com and give us the link.
