Whenever I've tried to run older historical versions of Minecraft for the fun of it, it gets an error:

Failed to download file, the file contents differ from what was expected.

Try manually downloading the file via browser https://libraries.minecraft.net/net/java/jinput/jinput-platform/2.0.5/jinput-platform-2.0.5-natives-windows.jar and place it in C:\Users\homeb\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\libraries\net\java\jinput\jinput-platform\2.0.5\
