I had problems with the old installer last week. I got minecraft running with the new installer. I updated my gentoo linux yesterday and now I'm getting these error messages when I try to launch.

SaveToBuffer failed
minecraft is acting like opengl is borked, but the thing is: it works fine in other applications.
Can someone give me a clue how to fix this? I'm missing valuable play time again.
Update: It works fine on my laptop... The only difference I've found is that the server that is failing has i965 and intel Xorg drivers enabled. I'm disabling those to see if it behaves itself. This wouldn't be the first time that gentoo's configurability interferes with a X open GL app...
Every other application works fine. This is a minecraft specific issue. I guess it knows in it's bones where libGL.so is supposed to be and it's loading the wrong one.
Can someone tell me how to figure out the ldd config of Minecraft in the flatpak? I want to understand how it's setting it's dynamic library loading.
I literally removed all libGLs except nvidia's and it still wouldn't initialize openGL.
I compared a working machine to the non-working machine and the ld.so.conf files are literally the same. The versions of all the utilities and drivers are literally the same. Yet one machine works, and the other doesn't...
Flatpak is a sandbox. As such is does use system drivers. It uses it's own drivers. I'm not sure why it worked before I rebooted, but after I rebooted I had to run:
sudo flatpak update
And let it install the nvidia drivers and a few other video support files, including some gtk stuff.
Java Edition, linux.

I'll update if I get it working.
No Dice.

Bump.
Halp!

Argh.
Figured it out.
