Even if I delete all the files in the ~/home/.minecraft/ folder and start the "Minecraft.jar" to recreate and download all files fresh the 1.14.4 version of the game is not working, and effectively I can no longer play Minecraft due to the server I'm playing on refusing the 1.14.3 client as too old.
Somebody on Reddit is claiming that Mojang apparently has bugged the 1.14.4 Java version of Minecraft, and that they are planning to create a fix, PLEASE FIX THIS , THANK YOU Mojang/Microsoft.

By deleting all files in the ~/home/.minecraft/ folder I also delete the launcher.jar & launcher.pack.lzma files, who get redownloaded to I assume the latest version, I do this by running the pre launcher jar file Minecraft.jar wich checks if there is a launcher in ~/home/.minecraft/ and downloads it fresh, I would assume this is the latest launcher not ?
You are correct it is not the same launcher as they have changed stuff around, as the wiki talks about "19w38b" and my launcher apparently is "1.6.89-j'
Still it's weird, as everything was working fine until 1.14.4 came out, also installing the latest Minecraft.deb didn't seem to change anything in the "~/home/.minecraft/" folder, and I was left guessing after the install what happened to the files/install without explanation other then that it should install in the same "~/home/.minecraft/" folder as before, maybe the instalation folder also has changed and I'm looking for the files in the wrong directory ?
Okay I have reinstalled the latest Minecraft.deb, and this time searched for the new Minecraft-launcher and now it indeed works, some new files seem to be in "/opt/minecraft-launcher/" where the new launcher is starting from, weirdly enough it seems to get also stuff from "~/home/.minecraft/" as it recognized my user name, but my favorite servers have been removed , mmmm annoying, but at least I got it working again, thanks for the tips.
Edit: I pressed single player, the saved servers are still there

I have read on Reddit that others have the same problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/czrkvc/minecraft_launcher_stuck_on_loading/

Grab the new launcher from minecraft.net.

You can look up the latest launcher version and compare it to yours on the wiki.
