Hi i have a problem with connecting to another computer via Lan. When i open a Lan server my friends mac cant see it or connect to it but when he makes a lan world i can see and connect to it. i have messed around with the firewall settings and added all the possible java(TM) platform binary whatever's to the firewall and even tried turning off the firewall. also my avast doesn't have the firewall perk so it couldn't be my anti virus. also windows network firewalls are all off. ive also added java to inbound settings. But still whenever he trys to direct connect it says
also tried starting a server. ported it and everything still got the same error. all firewalls are off and javas are all up to date. what else could be rejecting incoming connection?

(io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectExecption: Connection refused)
can anyone figure out why my PC is still rejecting incoming connects? do PCs have a secret firewall or something?
Uninstall Avast, check if it works and then you can reinstall it.
did it .... didnt work

i fixed the issue. cant remember exactly what i did but for some reason my computer was set by default to block inbound connections or something.
