i am trying to add more ram but i am getting this when ever i do it.

i also have 8gigs of ram so im not sure why this one extra gig wont work. i am on the latest java update also

This is the best way to increase RAM size for reduced lag/performance etc, use these commands for the start:
-Xmx2G -Xms2G -XX:MaxPermSize=256M
