Hello everyone. Lately my friend has been unable to connect to any minecraft servers. We have tested my own server, hypixel, shotbow, and Emerald Isle. He gets the following error when trying to connect:
Java.lang.NullPointerException: group.
We have tried deleting .minecraft, re-installing java, we have tried using both java 7 and 8, and pinging any of the servers through command prompt returns 0 packets, with errors. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you in advance.
Look in his computer's logs. Does it give any error such as 'IPconfig command/batch not recognized'? If so, he needs to reinstall all his drivers.
Well,we tried re-installing all his drivers....and no luck. He's really desperate. I tried flushing his DNS as well. No luck there. We REALLY want to play together,so if you know any way to fix this please tell.
Well, if nothing works, then he'll have to reset his computer to factory default, or test it on a different computer. We need to know if it has to do with his computer or with his Internet.
