Ok,so that one gets updated and stuff right? Is there any difference between the browser and downloaded? Other than that you play the browser version in a browser.

When I do a search I can find C:\Users\New PC\AppData\Roaming, but if I try to get to that folder via Windows Explorer I can only get as far as C:\Users\New PC (which has a "locked" symbol next to it. When I click on \New PC, there's no AppData folder in it.
How do I get to the AppData folder?

start menu> run
type in %appdata%. i don't think you can get into /appdata. but /roaming is where ".minecraft" is... i don't know why you'd want to get into /appdata
You can play the online version, but in my opinion, you should download it, so you can actually play Minecraft offline if you don't have an internet connection at that point of time.
Not sure why downloading is an issue, both the browser and stand alone use the same files, as far as security is concerned there is more chance of having issues using your browser, since it's less secure than Minecraft's own loader.
While it's not my intention to start a browser war, if you are worried about downloading Minecraft, then it's likely you are using Internet Explorer, perhaps one of the most unsafe browsers in existence, as the alternatives require downloading.
The king of the stick!
