I have ran into an issue playing the minecraft.net online demo today and was wondering if someone might be able to help me out. The demo claims I do not have 64 bit java installed, and am instead using 32 bit. I know for a fact I have the 64 bit by following the dxdiag and checking control panel. I was wondering if Flash, Firefox, or something else is causing this? I am wondering if this is just a browser issue and once I bought the full version of the game the problem would go away? The only reason this is a problem is the lag is unplayable on render distance: far and fancy graphics. When I lower render distance and graphics the lag is nearly nonexistent. I obviously don't want to risk purchasing a game that is not going to be able to run properly, but I am certain the lag is due to the demo not recognizing the 64 bit java.
BTW, my PC specs are:
CPU: Intel Core i3-550 3.2 GHz
Ram: 6GB DDR3 2048 MHz
Graphics: Intel Graphics HD
The graphics card is obviously not good, but I believe the demo not recognizing the 64 bit java is what is making the lag worse.
Dxdiag doesn't show your java bit type, it only show your OS bit type. So my guess is that you have 32-bit java running on your 64-bit machine. Most internet browsers do not support 64-bit so it wouldn't hurt anything by installing both 64 and 32-bit of java, Minecraft by default will use 64-bit.

Any ideas?
I figured it was a browser issue why the demo was not using 64 bit java.
