Everything was working fine but then I had to restart server because of some editing, but when restart it wouldn't go back to the part so I can start it again
So what I did was log off and log back on and end the screen.
So now i have no screens running but when I
cd server
screen
and run the server it says can't bind port 25565
I'm assuming you are not using multicraft right? So if it were me, I would double check that you didn't accidentally change the IP/port and if necessary, you can do "sudo reboot".
Check the port is open, some hosts have most ports closed except the essential ones like SQL, email, apache, SHH and FTP and require you to open the ones you want. What operating system are you using?

He said everything worked fine until he edited some config files, which probably means the port is already open. Although, some firewalls may have closed the port. Double check to make sure.

You probably have a server running already or java is still holding onto your port. Running that should fix the problem.
Alternatively, you could do
Which would show any active screen sessions. If there is one there you can connect with
