mojang has too many problems either connecting or downloading things. why is downloading mods so complicated? not everyone is a computer genious. GEEZE am i right they need to add more in the game play just so its easier and funner for everyone
The tutorials are pretty straightfoward. There are plenty of youtube videos that tell you how to do it. Or you can just download magic launcher, either way works fine. Besides, they are working on biomes for 1.7 (Probably) so no worries.
We get these posts all the time. Watch a tutorial if you can't install mods. Also, why even have mods? Most are just terrible ideas that the creators never thought through. The good mods will be implemented into vanilla.

While I don't agree with the OP, I don't think very successful mod packs such as Feed The Beast, Tekkit, or Voltz will every become part of vanilla. Those mod packs are very popular and contain a lot of very technical mods, a lot of which wouldn't necessarily fit with vanilla.
Going back to what ari_luv said about game-play; I've played on many of the mods and they don't always add to the fun that can be had playing Minecraft. Often they will distract you for hours adding long-winded mechanics to a game, and after you've reaped the benefits of such an endeavour you'll only have unbalanced items to show for your time and effort.
Adding mods to Minecraft can be likened to polishing a turd; if something about the game bothers you, modding it will often only belay any frustration you may get by playing. I prefer to play vanilla, and while it is nice to have new features added once in a while, we have to trust that the API, and all that comes with it, will allow players to continue playing in the fashion which suits them.
Also Realms; why there is any delay to the development is beyond me. I've been waiting for it to be pushed to beta, or whatever stage the developers will be willing to release it to the public, so the few gamer friends I have who haven't started playing Cube World, can enjoy a new type of server management environment.

Popular isn't always good. They will never be implemented for two reasons:
-Don't fit into Minecraft
-Severe lag issues

You DO know they're adding a modding API right? You complain about that difficulty, and say it's something a computer 'genious' could only do, while people who install and use mods pretty much don't even know how to code java or anything for that matter. Next you say they need to add more, that'll just delay the API and perhaps make more of a mess for them to clean up while trying to implement it.

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
