NOT MUCH USES ACTUAL JAVA!?!?!? HOW DARE YOU! Ever heard of Dan-ball? How about Powder, which has MILLIONS of plays? Stick ranger? What do you think runs it? Flash? JAVA.
Plus, it's not an exploit.
The google page stating the malware specifically says it's an exploit. Sorry I hurt your feelings. Running java on your browser is risky even if you keep it updated. New java exploits come out all the time and getting infected by ads isn't anything new. If you choose to use java in your browser that's up to you but it's definitely opening you up for more risk.
Malicious software includes 1 trojan(s), 1 exploit(s). Successful infection resulted in an average of 9 new process(es) on the target machine.

What if it said the exploit gave you a cake? Would you still believe it? The whole process is automated, I don't think there's significant risk.
These Java exploits are super common lately. If you guys aren't playing Java web games or playing Minecraft in your browser you should just disable Java in your browser. Too much risk and not much uses actual Java on the web anyway.
i find it funny how when i went to google this, i found this page, which was made today.
apparently this is a brand new problem, and thankfully im not the only one.

is there any actual fix for this?
Yea but it can take a while to take effect. Basically they have to remove any problem links/content and then submit the cleaned site for a review.
Here are some details on the process:
