So, I was browsing the Mods section to find some nice mods to spice up my gameplay, when I noticed something that began to really annoy me. On really popular mod threads, the first 1-5 posters get around 40-150 rep. Usually they don't even say anything constructive, just something like "This is truly an awesome mod" or something like that.
Does anyone else find this annoying, or is just me being a snobby reputation-hungry moron? It personally annoys me that people are getting hundreds of reputation just because they were lucky and posted first on a mod thread.
Since reputation is a meaningless number, it doesn't bother me at all
it is?
aww, ****.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
if i behave weird in my post; it's not that i am weird actually. I like to pretend being weird just for the satisfaction of me and to make the community feel more normal. herpy herpy derp. btw, comic sans.
So you want to replace one meaningless number with another?
Good point. However, reputation is slightly more meaningful, as it can not be obtained by your own posting, but other people give it to you if they respect your post. So it's not as meaningless as post count.

(Just testing wether your theory is correct)
It's for mod threads, where a lot of people browse through on a daily basis. My theory does not apply to this thread.

yeah, I kinda figured.....
Which is why I think it should show instead of post count.
