So it seems "My Content" is the new "View My Posts"
"View My Posts" showed us what threads we posted in, ordered by last post. So all the newest posts were at the top.
"My Content" shows us what threads we posted in, with no order I can see. Some new posts are on page 1, the rest are in the last few pages.
It seems that "My Content" should be ordered by last post date. I bet it's as easy as setting a sort order on the sql call, but I've never played with ... whatever forum software this is. Curse, I guess.
Part of the problem seems to be that it doesn't actually update to include new threads that you've posted in, at least not for me. Mine just says "there have been 1000 items by GreyAcumen"
But yes, the My Content page is in dire need to be fixed.
There is a drop down box in Find my Content, to the right side above the content. Select "View all posts by..." and you will get the posts with the newest first.

This doesn't really help. It doesn't show if there are new replies in the thread the post was in, it orders only by my last post, and it takes up a huge amount of space. We need a page like My Content, but ordered by the most recent post in each thread. PHPBB3 had one and it was easily the feature I used most frequently. It's essential for keeping track of multiple discussion topics over time. I doubt I'm alone.
The forum might have working search and a million other nifty features, but without basics like this, it's a massive step back in terms of usability.

That is completely useless. The whole point of "egosearch" was that it showed threads organized by date of the most recent post made by anyone, not just the poster doing the "egosearch"
With the egosearch set up this way, users could easily see what topics of those they have posted in have recently updated. under the current system this is NOT POSSIBLE. Under the "view all topics {username} has posted in or started" the threads are not organized correctly, and under the "view all posts by {username}" it is impossible to see any posts that OTHER people have made in that thread since you have posted, furthermore if you have posted multiple times in a thread, you have multiple instances of the same thread, which is just extra useless clutter.
EDIT: Ninja'd by Donkey Kong.
Besides that, I'm still having the issue where any thread that I have posted in since the move to the new forums are NOT showing up in "My Content"
It helps perfectly, if you're looking for your most recent posts.
As for the threads being out of order, I'll bring this up with Curse. I'd like to see a sort based on when you last posted in that thread and when anyone has last posted.
And yes, the search limit is set to when the move happened. Sorry, that's the way it is. AFAIK, it's due to the database differences between php and IPB. If you want to have a thread included in the search of your content, you'll have to find the thread manually and post in it. After that it should be included.

The old View Your Post system phpbb used was great...
Right now you can opt to arrange them by just seeing your posts in a descending order, the topics you've started which aren't even arranged based on whichever one someone posted in last, or by a combination of both which I don't understand cause you would have obviously posted in a topic that you've started, and again, these aren't arranged based on whichever was posted in last by someone or yourself.
What people want to use View Your Posts for is to see ACTIVE topics that they've posted in, aka topics that have been most recently posted in that you have posted in.
I think I can do a good job remembering my last post by myself, and I don't see how that's helpful, and just having all the topics you've posted in arranged in whatever stupid order they're arranged in now isn't helpful either. Can't you just make them appear in order of whichever was last posted in by someone, or even by yourself?
Who on earth would want to look for their own most recent posts? I'm exclusively interested in finding threads that I've posted in that other people have also posted in since I last checked. That's how using a large forum like this works. You post in threads which subscribes you to them, (or subscribe manually) and then they show up in a feed for you to keep track of. That's how PHPBB3 and vBulletin work and it's really great. This setup is awful. I don't know how anyone navigates it efficiently short of starting up their own set of bookmarks and checking each one.
I'd like to see a sort based on when you last posted in that thread and when anyone has last posted.
Yes, that's exactly what we need. Mostly just the second one. I'd also like a convenient link to that page instead of the ridiculous "View New Content" link on the top right of every page. On a forum this big, it's just a collection of random stuff, most of which isn't interesting to a given user. We can browse for new content in the appropriate places.

I feel like something is being seriously miscommunicated here. I HAVE posted in be threads since the update. Namely this one. None of them are showing up in "my content" AT ALL. The threads I've posted in from before the move are actually showing up just fine. It's the ones from AFTER the move that aren't getting added to "my content"
We don't need to see our own recent posts, we need to see the threads we have posted in in order of most recent replies. It's impossible to keep track of activity we're actually interested in at the moment other than bookmarking all the threads we have posted in. It's primitive and annoying.
If I post in a set of threads, I'd like to see those threads in My Content, and see which ones have been posted in most recently. If you have ever used the old forums "View my posts" you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you haven't, then chances are you don't understand the importance of such a suggestion. This is serious, and it's almost as bad as when there was no search function at all. There is NO fix. I have read them all and there is nothing I can do to get a list of threads I'm active in in order of activity.
Now since I need to keep tabs on this thread, I guess I'll just ctrl+d...
There's another way to see your posts on a per-forum basis that's presented almost exactly like 'view your posts' used to be.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
This forum ticked me off so much I went to random.org and set my password to something I'll never be able to remember, then switched my password reset to a throwaway.
Sure, we just have to take what we can get. And with that, the forums will just have to take the members they can get. And if the forum doesn't support people who want to have an actual discussion that leads to intelligent ideas, then they'll just have to accept the morons who post crap and flood the forums with useless threads that no one(including the original poster) cares about.
No, we have to get what we can take. There is always a way forward, even if it means leveling a mountain with a feather.
My new posts are at the top of the second-to-last page of my posts, preceded by old posts and followed by my oldest posts. The old-board messages are more or less in order, and the new ones are jammed in near, but not at, the end.

Oh, trust me, I'm rather annoyed with the situation myself and I want nothing more than for my content to work right, but in the meantime every little thing helps.
I'll agree with that. It's the only way I've been able to keep track of my posts at all.
My Content still hasn't budged at all in terms of organizing itself properly, and it STILL hasn't shown a single thread that I've posted in since the move, which makes no sense; what search criteria is it using to find the 1000 threads I've posted in before the move, but not the half dozen I've posed in since then?
With people unable to find threads they've posted in easily, it's brought the forums to a complete halt in terms of any REAL discussion taking place.
