As per the 502 error in the original post, clearing your cookies will have no effect on this error whatsoever, especially if its a server-side error...only thing that would possibly help is to clear your browsers cache and/or flush your DNS cache...but that would only help if youre getting the error on every site you visit.
A better "Fix" is to just refresh every 10-15 seconds until a gateway opens on the server side, theres nothing the user can do to fix this problem.

Ah Yes. I changed it earlier yesterday, but the edit never went through. I realised clearing your cookies wouldn't help much. This time I'll check to see if the change goes through!

Yes, thats another annoying issue with this forum.
Ive never been on a forum as glitched as this one lol.
I still havent gotten my bbcode back, and i pm'd criticsquid like 2 weeks ago

CitricSquid is a busy man.
I can now do it, so just PM me with the thread name, and I'll move it over :smile.gif:

It seems the advertising spambots have broken through your defenses.
I consider this to be a problem, if there's something you can do about it.
It seems to have just started minutes ago...
Edit
Derp. Probably should have read the whole thing.
Regardless, something happened and it is fixed.
I was trying to register to the forums.
But every time i tried to register the Captcha would not load.
Here is an example of what i was seeing: http://postimage.org/image/1clwfl25g/
I had tried deleting my Cache/Cookies aswell as using my 2 different browsers (Firefox/Chrome)
The Captcha ended up showing up in Internet Explorer (Last resort browser) but i thought i should just post it incase other people are having the same problem.
I know it's not exactly the most appropriate thread for my question, but out of all stickied threads in this sub-forum it seems to be the best one to ask it in, and I'm not really fond of the idea of creating a new thread just to ask a question.
So, would it be possible to filter internet address "minecraftt.banmeplz" to make it impossible to post it (I think censoring it just as you would censor certain swear words should be effective if it works for text inside tags, since it will break it into a row of asterisks)? Every so often "somebody" (probably a fake account made for that very purpose) tries posting links to an image placed on this website, with said image really being a script used for phishing, in many threads at once, and not only does it endanger safety of some of the less tech-savvy users, but I'm pretty sure it's also a hassle for forum staff to delete.
If by any chance you think that I did something bad by posting here, feel free to kill me after you solve this problem.
Edit:
It seems that it does censor it now, though the posts of those two users are still dangerous, so I'll leave this post for now - feel free to delete it if you wish.
I clicked on the second link and went to his last-posted topic and automatically had this come up....I think this would be something that should be censored...as its a security risk the the forums users....but then again it looks like the phishing site is actually a branch off of minecraftforum.net with the way its worded...so...I dont know.
Yes, it does look as if it was one of Minecraft's websites, but it is spelled with 2 "t's", so it quickly becomes obvious that somebody chose this name to increase the chances of forum users falling for it.
@==Maverick==:
That's why I think it's dangerous - people who know to do better won't enter anything here, but I'm pretty sure some people did enter their data here and had to face the consequences (and well, that's one of my reasons to post it in a stickied thread - they are visited by users who don't know about it being dangerous much less often than normal threads, so there's a lesser risk of anybody actually losing his data because of what I posted, compared to me creating a new thread for it).
Very good catch, Ive never seen anything like this, but then again I rarely venture out of the support section. The popup is saying the server minecraftt or whatever is actually on the real minecraftforum.net server, thats whats throwing me off...but its simple enough to make a mockup popup...but posting scripts on a forum is even harder to do since youre very limited on what you can post.
I also notice if you click cancel...every single picture is broken...and the link is a minecraftforum.net address...so maybe the popup is a broken image server at minecraft.net named minecraftt? Im not sure...few possibilities but Im not taking the chance of entering any info with the amount of likely things it could be if it wasnt legit.
I think the only one who can answer this is WedTM or citricsquad, I dont think anyone else has full access to the admin CP or the forums directories to answer this question, hopefully one of them sees this, if not Ill drop a PM or email to them at the end of the day.
No worries, I doubt anyone will delete your posts seeing theyre on-topic, with exception to the last reply...but have you seen the "New Ideas" thread? Probably 100 responses and 80 of them is off-topic and none of those has been deleted, even with pleas from members haha...I tend to go on and on in my posts too sometimes, fortunately no one has mentioned it to me yet :biggrin.gif:
Not sure if this is reported already, but sometimes, the site will go "old fashioned" and some of the things like the background disappear. All the links go all the way towards the left too.

I USED TO BE EPICJOE! I HAVE A dA! epikjoe . deviantart. com And remember, I KNOW don't click this link...
Yea, I was just thinking.. wtf.. "Sorry but you are not permitted to use the search system."... am I banned? I don't recall doing anything.
Can you guys like put a big huge glow in the dark sticky somewhere or make the error a bit less generic? I can't be the only one that thinks this way (can I?) hate to think I gots teh b& hammer or something... or am in some kind of read only penalty box.
on my "KRD minecraft skins" post i am trying to place a new poll(the first poll i made was succesfull) and whenever i do that it gives about 20 different options, most of which are just duplicates. I cant seem to do anything about it.
The whole search function being, well, GONE should probably be on this list...
(although, seeing as how theres no real fix at the moment... perhaps it doesn't fit here)
For the people who want to be allowed the search function:
Quote from citricsquid »
any users who want access to search I can enable it for them. It's disabled due to abuse, as long as you can be trusted I'll let you use it :smile.gif:
Umm, I'm not sure If it should be posted here or somewhere else, but I've got a glitch with editing the poll. It keeps coming up with stuff from the first poll I did, as well as doubling some choices and deleating one :/
viewtopic.php?f=1034&t=242567
This is where it isn't working. The poll should read:
What do you think of the improved intro?
Great!
Good
Ok
Poor (give reasons why)
Your writting skills suck and you should never write again (give reason why)
But every time I edit it, it just goes back to what it currently has :/
phpBB seems to mess things up if you try to edit a poll, so I suggest trying this:
Edit post -> Delete poll (checkbox) -> Submit post -> Edit post -> New poll -> Submit post

Anyway, it worked fine back when I registered... sometime after the Bronze Age. That comes after the Stone Age, mind you.
