I am curious. Am i beeing targeted by those bots or are they somehow able to target the last updated / newest thread?
Once a random user posted a video on my profile's comment section, which where about minecraft content but i didn't even know the language.
A moderator removed it for me, and i'm glad about that. This however only happened once. And i am still confused. Why would a real person use my profile to gain more clicks? It wasn't even an advertise link. I got send streight to the youtube video from who knows who.
I totally forgot the content of that vid though becouse i couldn't undertand it at all.
I don't know if i am appealing to bots bc of my active postings. But i feel like they somehow "react" after short time to my last responses.
Maybe i read to much into this. Afaik i am not directly involved into popular projects. And even with 500+ Posts i still feel like a normal user, not like an influencer.
However, is there a way aside from antivirus checks to make sure that you aren't being stalked by a bot?

My projects:
-are abandoned for now. I might pick 'em up in the future.
For now i'm working on a private modpack that suit's my own playstyle.
I am gonna stay in modded 1.12.2 untill my potato dies. No mercy! :Q
We have been getting a large amount of spam posts by people who watched a youtube video that basically told them to take someones youtube and make an ad link and spam this forum to it to make money, we all know ad links will not make any decent money and the only people really making money from it are from the initial video the spammers are watching.
we are removing those posts as fast as possible and the forum is auto blocking the spam ad links.
They don't care where they post, they just think they will make money whatever, instead they get a ban. Them posting on your posts or profile is not targetting you, just a coincidence.
I am glad to hear that part. Thanks for responding.

Is there a way to add links from bit.ly and similar?
In the last days also the usage of the "Insert/edit link"-feature is abused for such spam-links
Maybe there is a way to limit such features for new users
