Ok, we have a problem.
Basically, threads are being bumped. Too much. I'm seeing 3 threads dating back to December 2011 being posted in.
Yes, I report them, but it seems like no action is being taken. Those threads are still alive and well, and no sight of justice nearby.
This has to stop.
What you can do:
-Report the bumper -Shows the bumper to not bump
-When posting, check when the topic was started, and check the last time it was posted in. -If it is outdated, don't post. If it was bumped, don't post.
- Put the link in your sig
Please do not reply to extremely old threads unless you are continuing substantial discussion of the topic. Contentless bumps which add very little to the discussion will be removed.
One problem about the rule, there is no defined time in which before a bumped thread is considered the work of necromancy.
By what I was told it is at average 6 months before it is considered necromancy, unless otherwise the post is pointless and contributes absolute nothing. Or it is the OP of the thread who is making considerable update to the thread, despite thread is very old.

I'll boil this down to very, very simple terms...
The one question you should be asking is: "Does this post contribute to the discussion of the thread?"
If the answer is yes: then the post is a-ok
If the answer is no: then the post is not ok and should be reported
Age is more or less irrelevant when looking at a post in this sort of basic way
The only time age is really relevant is if the thread is no longer relevant.
If it is a post about adding fences from early alpha, no matter what you post, the thread is irrelevant to the current state of the game.
Good point, though usually in those situations the replies are something along the lines of "hur durr, wolves are already in the game" (happened a lot sadly ) so it falls under "not relevant to the thread"

Yeah. I was just trying to give context for when a thread could be necro posted in even if the person posting is technically on topic.
You'd think though, if someone is suggesting something in game, the person about to post would check the date real quick. Only takes a few seconds...

Figured this is how it goes about now. Though most time the posts I see in bumps are simple worded but add nothing, or add nothing of new to the thread really, or something that was already suggested to that thread.
To probably say on that, support threads on hardware/game in which no longer are relevant. Though Beltir has already gave a example of that one.

But sums that up.

There it goes to the op.
I cannot open the first one, but as jefe stated he was contributing something towards the thread it self, the post wasn't off topic.
I ment my post.
Forget that, I'm erasing that part.
