So, I was wondering, how do you get permabanned? In the rules all it said was "if we feel they don't contribute to the community" or something along the lines of that.

So far the examples have been specifics, so I'll try and explain the actual cause: a users existence being detrimental to the safety and experience of other users. If a users behaviour is so negative that they're causing problems for other users (eg: racism, sexism, general abuse, malware, spam) then we'd take the decision to remove them permanently from the website.
Everyone should be able to browse and post without ever feeling threatened or apprehensive or concerned, if someone causes that to happen then we need to stop them.

That just seems so ripe for abuse it's not funny,

Neckbeards! Doctor Cichocki does not approve of stupidity and neither do I, stop the spread of damned useless rules!

If little Timmy gets upset that Bobby is telling Mojang how to make Minecraft better and that it isn't perfect like he thinks, that could be considered "causing a problem" in Timmy's eyes and is therefore unacceptable under your rules. I was reading another thread that detailed pretty much the aforementioned scenario actually happening.

I think you're misunderstanding.
If one user upsets another user that is an entirely different situation. I'm talking about an individual that poses a real problem for the entire forums user base. Someone that is constantly posting pornographic imagery, someone that is constantly harassing every user they come into contact with, someone that takes every opportunity to mock another user, people that are toxic, people that provide no value to the website and are nothing but a drain.

He doesn't mean disagreement. He means legitimate threats like Malware, hacking, or just being a trololol. If he does any of that, then he doesn't deserve the rights to be on the forums.
Disagreement is good. It makes for more interesting threads and, well, just a lot of good things.

No, that sort of stuff will get you an infraction, it's nowhere near worthy of a permaban.

If you are beyond correcting, there is no point in keeping you... If you make little mistakes every once in a while here and there it doesn't matter. If you consistently repeat the same mistakes you obviously cannot be fixed.

This is irrelevant, and they're right, you're completely missing the point here.
But what forum crimes do you have to commit?

Can you explain how exactly someone could abuse our policy? I don't get it.
In case it isn't obvious:

You intentionally completely miss the point...
