I know notch is taking his time on things, and im happy with that.
but im scared that if he takes too long with things, people will expect big, and he might let us down on some updates.

In a dream I could see you are not far away. Anytime, Anyplace. I can see your face.
You're that special one that I have been waiting for and I hope you're looking for someone like me.
Well from some leaks he has given out for 1.8, doesn't look like a big disappointment.
And after 1.8 there's not gonna be another update. After 1.8 they'll start working on the final version of minecraft
Wouldn't say there isn't any updates, but another big content update? Doubt it. They'll still release bug fixes and the small content update here and there, but 1.8 is the big shabang.
Personally, I feel I have gotten way more then my money's worth on this game. I have definitely played it a lot more then any other full priced game I have ever bought with the exception of WoW, but that has a monthly cost associated with it.
Anything Notch gives us at this point forward is icing on the already delicious cake(which is not a lie!), so even if he doesn't meet other peoples expectations with the next update, I am definitely more then satisfied.
This game was worth 10$ at infdev when I got it, and I can't say that they've added much more game-improving content. I just play it for the multiplayer. If someone isn't satisfied with the game or they get disappointed by an update then they can just enjoy what the game always has been and always will be.
They say that if you hype something up for too long, you're bound to be disappointed. I haven't played Minecraft for about a week now because I don't want to get too excited about 1.8.
As with any update or pending release, there will be people who will be dissapointed. It's like a set number of people think that the moment they install that new game or that new update they will have constant orgasms or something, and are actually surprised when, no, it's just a ****ing update/game.
I believe Shigeru Miyamoto put it best: "A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is bad forever." *Glares at Sonic 2006* Go into the new update with an open mind....
You know what I'm expecting to happen though? All the people complaining that the Enderman are going to be hard to defeat are going to be the same people who say they should be more difficult to defeat.. Just watch. :dry.gif:

You know there is a 1.8 section now.
1.8 discussions go there... true story.
