How would it work? Will you get to mine a certain ore at a certain level? I hope not. Will it give you rewards like armor or weapons each level? Again, I hope not. Are there any advantages at all? Is it just a little bar to brag about how skilled you are in multiplayer? Discuss.
Now, I can't say for certain, but from what I understand, it would be like a roguelike, with quicker level ups, and wiping of those levels when you die. And, as you gain levels, you mine faster, and are probably a bit tougher or something. I doubt Mojang would make levels required mining. There are already requirements for mining certain materials.

Nature should really stop catering to all these furries! I mean, do we REALLY need two kinds of elephant? Puh-leaze.
I like the idea of growing tougher, because that's what you do when mining about 64 blocks of cobblestone for 2 days. It's unfair if you don't do that, and get some sort of upgrade, okay I get it now.
And, I'll say it again, I don't know this for sure. This is just based on little tidbits I've heard here and there. It may turn out to be something completely different for all we know. This just seems likely with what we've heard.

I would enjoy a Fallout-esque leveling system. Such as certain skills (Mining? Fighting?) are increased depending on your preference, and maybe even a few perks, such as increased inventory space, extra hearts, etc. IDK just my thoughts, probably won't happen though.
Are there ANY advantages of a leveling system?
