Well then I've got just the thing, ladies and gentlemen! Introducing the GolemTrapper 1000!
Just build one of these ultra-high-tech minecart loops in the village you want to exterminate, and start a minecart running the loop.
Now go find your neighborhood golem, smack his ass, and run like hell back to the minecart, then stand just beyond it, so when the golem catches up to you, the running cart catches him.
Success! You can now call up your Zombie friends, and massacre all the villagers you want, and the golem will stay safe and secure in the looping cart, unable to stop you! Does your village have multiple golems? No problem! Multiple GolemTrappers will surely do the trick! As long as all Golems stay alive in their cart(s), no replacements will be spawned!
So step right up folks, and pre-order your GolemTraper 1000 today!

This product is the result of an amusement park prototype for the wee Testifikids. One day, while some of them were riding (and one was cart-chasing), the local Village Guardian decided this looked like fun, and went for a ride himself. I knew immediately that he had become completely neutralized, and that this product was useful. :smile.gif:
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, order your GolemTrappers today!
Even the largest of villages are now open for conquering by as little as one warrior!
And your captive audience will have no choice but to spin circles in awe of your mighty power!
What happens if a mob gets near the carts? Well, the golem would replace spots with collision but, if it goes by a zombie would it attack it?
Hmm doesn't seem to, tho when I was trying to get one into a cart the first time I attacked it and it kept trying to attack me after it was in the cart. So existing aggro seems to hold but once they are in the cart they won't generate new targets.

If the rolling cart bumps into a mob, it usually stops. While in the carts, the golems don't pay any attention to zombies, and the zombies don't pay any attention to golems either, they just run for the nearest villager(s).
I stood right next to one of these rolling giants, punching him, and he simply would not attack back. I let loose a herd of zombies, which ran across all the tracks toward the buildings, and the golems didn't even look at them.
I like the idea, although I'd rather use them to patrol around a village than keep them penned up like that. Or maybe I'd just keep them locked away until the right moment, then release them as a wave of OP.

SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE!
"Look at me still talking when there's science to do. When I look out there it makes me glad I'm not you."
Back in the day when I found a village, I'd burn it to the ground, and mess with the lava in the blacksmith. Makes me wonder if you can burn their houses without the golem getting all mad and such. They seem too powerful.

Yep, you can! The golems only care about the villagers, not the houses.
Love it. Never heard testifikids before either. Clever.

Why kill them? In my village, they kill themself! In a huge festival, 200-300 villager jump everynight from huge towers into their death on their! Nobody forces them to do it XD.
I saw your thread about the villagers' high-dive platforms, that was some damn funny stuff. I'll probably end up building some of those myself, just for the lulz. :smile.gif:
EDIT: I just remembered, the pack isn't updated yet for the snapshot features, so I had to do that myself. If you're interested, you can get my tweaked version here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14159972/forumpics/faithful32pack.zip
The lamp blocks, jungle tree leaves, and jungle saplings are just upscaled from the default look, but I added a nice 32x32 jungle tree log texture.

Have you considered opening franchise stores to sell this wonderful product?

Yeah, I never really realized before today that mobs in carts can't attack, even at point blank range. Maybe Jeb should change that.
