"The stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat." — Leviticus 11:19
So some of you may have noticed that when you go to the "edit" button at the bottom of the OP for a thread you've started, you can edit the content of the post, but there's no field for the thread title. Similarly, when you go to the "edit thread" button that's been secreted away in a counter-intuitive dropdown menu at the top of the page, there's ONLY a field for the thread title and no way to edit the content of the original post. I've been told that there is a way to edit the polls, but that menu is even more cunningly hidden than the one for "edit thread".
Now, I remember a time, not so long ago, when these three options were all located in the same place, as one would logically expect them to be. And not only were they in the same place, but that place was a place that was intuitively located, clearly labeled and easy to find. Whether you wanted to edit the thread title, change the content of the OP, or add a new question to the poll, one need look no farther than the "edit thread" button, located at the bottom of the OP, in the same place where the "edit post" button could be found on other, non-OP posts. This made sense. I like things that make sense.
Of course, I also like things that don't make any sense whatsoever, but user interfaces are not one of those things.
