So... what's the fastest way to travel in Minecraft?
You have your normal sprint jumping, horses, basic riptide, speed, sprint jumping, head hitters... but what about the heavy hitters
How about QUITE LITERALLY. Revenger roaring while blocking sends you flying.... right? What about elytra and riptide ender pearls.
What about the Snow Chester fast travel? soulsand, soul speed_max, depth_strider max, Trident with riptide max with water everywhere, is THAT the fastest way to travel?
Besides ender_pearl stasis and /T.P. and other cheeses involving instant transportation or something. So what IS the fastest way of doing this?
The Wiki is your friend; they say that the fastest way to travel is with a TNT-ender pearl cannon, which can achieve 1.76 million meters/blocks per second, followed by sprint-swimming at a 45 or 135 degree angle with Dolphin's grace, Soul Speed III, Depth Strider III, and over Soul Soil, which is "only" 146.965 m/s but still about twice as fast as the maximum speed with Elytra, 78.4 m/s straight down (which is just your maximum falling speed, more practically, a 52 degree pitch down gives 67.3 m/s, which is slightly slower than a boat on blue ice, 70 m/s):
One thing to consider is infrastructure; boats on blue ice require building a path so they are only useful over established territory, which is also true of many other methods, so Elytra are probably the best as they can be easily be used anywhere, including exploring new areas (of course, they do have durability; horses appear to be the fastest method that can be sustained indefinitely, then again, they have drawbacks as well).
I think the fastest way is to drive a boat on ice.
My projects:
-are abandoned for now. I might pick 'em up in the future.
For now i'm working on a private modpack that suit's my own playstyle.
I am gonna stay in modded 1.12.2 untill my potato dies. No mercy! :Q

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
THX... so one of my guesses weren't of after all! it's good to hear that, thx for the info and thx for your time my pal
