I have a crop nano farm using the typical dispenser and redstone clock setup, slightly modified from a tree farm. However, if I use the farm too much, cracks will appear in the farmland, until the block breaks and then I have to replace it with a new dirt block and re-hoe it. Is this standard behavior in minecraft? I haven't seen anyone else talking about it, and I can't find it on the wiki. This happens whether or not the soil is hydrated, and it makes my farm less efficient overall. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Does not sound like vanilla, are you on a server (potential anti-farming plugin) or perhaps playing on bedrock edition (they tend to actively squash afk farms by fixing bugs the farms were exploiting, could be related to that sort of work)?
Nope, I am playing vanilla minecraft on a single player world. And the weird thing is that when I built ilmango's nano farm (an hour or so ago) that is infinitely more efficient, I did not have the same issue with the block breaking.

Could you show us a ss of the actual “breaking” please?
