Well, do you think people would think it would be wrong to use a program that updated your banlist by adding alot of names from a known greifers list on the internet?
If this would be a bad idea that's fine, just wondering.
If not, I could make a program like that easy, put the worst people on, maybe help stop greifing.
Also, the list would be names the were posted on some thread I made, and people could of course appeal themselves. (IF people want me to make this.)
If it's a list that anyone can update, it doesn't work because griefers can add legitimate players to the list and third parties have no way to know which names are accurate. I'd say just ask server owners with a similar tolerance level to share their banip.txt with you.

I didn't say anyone could update it, and I don't like IP bans.
But, I guess something like this was made before minus the autoupdater program.
So, I won't do it over again.
I have our ban list up on redditpublic.com ... Use at your own risk. We have several legit players banned, but they almost always e-mail me and have themselves unbanned (I get about 1 ban appeal/day). We also clear our OP list, etc to clear for rogues.
Whether you use it or not depends if you trust the legitimacy of the server and its administrators.
Everyone has a slightly different definition of griefing these days, which is why I never take the lists I see into account, and maybe griefers could even change (some of them, not all). I'd recommend catching someone in the act than using a list.

Maybe I use your list. I will have a program that adds names from that list and mine into your ban list automaticaly.

So, would this be mean, or a good idea?
