I've never seen a "What's your favorite genre?" thread with electroswing as an option, let alone with it as the first choice of the OP! Good show, sir!
I'd never heard of ProleteR before, and am sampling him right now (That's Life is good so far, especially because I've always been a Sinatra fan). Parov Stelar is good, but Caravan Palace is by far my favorite band ever (only one that has never made a song I don't like, which is really saying something), and I'm also a fan of Wax Tailor, 11 Acorn Lane, Tape Five, DJ Yoda, AlgoRythmik, Electric Swing Circus, and The Real Tuesday Weld, just to name a few.
Oh! And besides electroswing, I like classic rock, swing, Big Band, and some scattered bits of electronica and pop.
Edit: ProleteR did not disappoint, not by far. Thank you.
I tend to listen to electronic genres such as dubstep and chiptune but I basically listen to anything that sounds good, including classical and waltz.
Fun fact: waltz isn't a genre, but just a key signature, and many songs outside of the realm of classical music are waltzes, such as Billy Joel's "Piano Man" and "She's Always a Woman," Tears For Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," and Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and "Brain Damage."
(Plus Caravan Palace's "Violente ' class='bbc'>Valse" and "Sydney")
I don't much abide by genres. I'll listen to anything that strikes me correctly. But primarily these songs fall into either rock or classical (more specifcially, songs that rely heavily on instruments). I like a little chillstep and the occasional indie song on the side, which I can find a certain appreciation for.
Whats your favorite song and genre?
Personally for me its Electro-swing; Music like Parov Stelar and Proleter.
Other than that, Alternative/Rock for me.
Yep, I like dubstep.

Welp
(Indeed. Such music has existed for centuries, and it's still going strong.)
