I am starting on a new project :biggrin.gif: Soon I will be getting an old Dell computer with not that great parts in it and I will make a Lego case for it.
Stay tuned for original pictures and project pictures.
The case will be able to hold a monitor on top as it is a horizontal case and not vertical. I currently will not get the dell for two days so until then I will be working on the base of the case and I have a few broken parts to use a references.

AMD Phenom II 970BE - Asus M5A97 - 12GB DDR3 -300GB Western Digital - Cosair CX600 V2 - Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 - Cooler Master HAF 912 - Windows 8 - Cosair Vengeance K90
That's going to be hard. What are you going to do about the motherboard standoffs, and, to a lesser extent, HDD bays, the front and rear IOs, and the expansion slots?
Also, why not buy the parts from Newegg instead of from a prebuilt Dell?

I will be using the blocks with holes in them for the motherboard standoff's (Idea from Youtube).
I also just got a brand new computer and this is just a fun little project to be used as a home server if it still works afterwards.
The expansion spots will be removable. Front and Rear will be taken from the original case. Hard drive bays and all that should be easier. I will be posting a design concept soon.

I saw a picture of a lego case before that looked fantastic. I can't seem to find it on google images anywhere. (There are a few but none look like the one I remember seeing)
anyways, best of luck.
If you're making this a permanent case for the computer then definitely glew some parts of those things together. xD

I' have parts to two computers I am using. I have two CPU Fans, all of the parts to a regular computer. On of the computers that I am just taking the fans out of, a very old one has an Intel Pentium II one of the ones that slides in to the motherboard. The Dell is more modern, I will be posting the specs today.

(Found this on Google Images)
I found the one I remembered though. It was this:
In terms of cosmetics, I thought it looked pretty good.
I am going to start working on it tonight.
I will be posting pictures as I go.

Looks awesome, but I see a lot of places that are a bit sketchy. The expansion slots aren't snug, and there are no dust shields whatsoever.
Wow that certainly is awesome!

Slim chance they'll line up right. You're going to end up using glue and a drill.
