So I'm stuck with a cruddy, slow desktop right now and I want to buy a laptop but I'm having trouble finding one. I want to start playing minecraft again because again, my desktop cant even run it anymore. So would this laptop be good for that? I want it to at LEASE get 25-30 FPS.
First one is probably not much better than your original. But the second one doesnt show all the specs for me, although i have a great media laptop. Even that varies between 0-500 fps on servers.
I think you might want to consider getting a desktop. You would probably get more performance with a desktop anyways. You could either buy or build one. I would recommend building one because you will get more bang for your buck and you will have the satisfaction of actually building your own computer. Check out videos on youtube of gaming computers under $500. You can check out this for starters:
I would definitely recommend the g505s. I have this laptop, and I can run Minecraft with 60+ fps with a 64x64 texture pack, Optifine and a 7 chunk render distance.

For minecraft, no.
And to be completely honest with you, you're not going to find a good laptop for $200 that can run minecraft decently.
