searching for command to kill monster hited by an snowball and spawn an spawnegg of its type....1.14.4 (java)

example of creeper would be soooo nice.

have saerched a long time I have tryed many things.. with scoreboard but its all outdated.

So a system where when you throw a snowball at a mob it captures it?

Run these in a chain of command blocks:

/execute as @e[type=snowball] at @s run tag @e[type=creeper,distance=..1] add tagged

/execute as @e[tag=tagged] at @s run summon item ~ ~ ~ {Item:{id:"minecraft:creeper_spawn_egg",Count:1}}

/kill @e[tag=tagged]

I'm writing this off the top of my head but it should give you a general idea of how it works.

creeper did not be tagged

when i use in chat /tag @e[type=minecraft:zombie,distance=..1] add tagged

creeper was tagged..

i think /execute as @e[type=snowball] at @s there must be a mistake (for me looks good ) dont know why

I forgot to tell you to adjust the distance if it doesn't work, I set it to distance=..1.5 and it works now. Also, if you want to tag a zombie instead of a creeper, you have to write another set of commands just like the ones I shoed but with the zombie in the selector.

worked.. but i put a limit in ther to tag only 1 of a group..

/execute as @e[type=snowball] at @s run tag @e[type=creeper,limit=1,distance=..1.5] add tagged

is thre a way for edeting flying speed of the snowball? want to meke him slower for better results

one time the ball tagged

other time not..

dont want to make the distance too big

I highly doubt you can edit the speed but chek out attribute modifiers: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Attribute
