As you can probably tell,I'm really new here.I have been playing Minecraft for over a year,however,I've only been interested in Commands recently.Since I'm new,I need help.
I've seen Map Makers "Activate" a command block without using buttons,pressure plates or levers.My guess is,the command block activates itself when it is in a certain radius of a player.I simply want to do know how to do so.
For example,I have a command block that summons a Zombie.I want to make it so that if a player went in a radius of 5 blocks of the command block or so,the Zombie will spawn,not using pressure plates,levers etc.I have heard of the testfor command,but I don't know how to use it.
I now know how to activate a series of command blocks with the testfor command.But..theres something I still want to know..
Is there a way to trigger a command block in a certain radius,but only happens once?I've tried using a clock and it constantsly repeats the command when I step in the Command Blocks radius.I want for it to happen only once.
For example,I have a clock connected to a command block that has testfor radius x,connected to a tellraw "Hi" command block.If i step in the radius it says "Hi". But if I step out and step in the radius it will say Hi again..I only want it to happen once.So you step in the radius,it says hi,and no matter what you do you cant make the Hi appear again.This may seems nooby but please forgive me as I am new.

what color is that command block?
If it's not green,you can probably
make it very easy in 1.9 snapshot...
If no...well,they're coming...
this place will be crowded
with your answer
Thank you very much!

Don't mind me using command blocks besides of that command block you want it to activate.
==================================================================================
1. make a scoreboard (Don't tell me you don't know how.)
2. 2 command blocks which is hidden with a clock:
put the command in that command block you want(RMB,that 2 commands' coordinate must be the same as the command block you activate)
but 1 thing, add this thing before your command(Quote the spaces too, I provided for you because of your laziness.)
