I'd really like to be fighting zombies and such in cities or huge mountains, as I've seen some other forumers do. I have not received a straight answer about how to do this though. So, how can I play survival on a custom-made map? I know that you can link to others' maps if they have them in their maplist (like this: http://minecraft.net/survivaltest/index ... grass&id=0), so I guess my question is - how can I import externally made maps to my maplist (so that I can load them into survival) ?
Any insight on this would be appreciated.

It involves using hacks, however I'm not aware exactly how. I'd also like the answer to this and so would a few other people, I await the answer :smile.gif:
For responders: You can explain how, but you cannot link to any hacks that break the minecraft distribution rules.
The client hacks have a simple Save and Load feature. You can just save a map in multiplayer then open it up in SP.
This appears to make sand, water, and lava glitch, and creeper explosions won't do any damage to the surroundings.
Whats strange is that in a smaller map I played in survival, the explosions worked fine.

Was that smaller map also map in OMEN?
Make your Map in Omen
Load the map into a private server
Open the custom client
Connect to your server
Shift + F11 (or F12 for the second slot)
This saves the map
Close the custom client and reopen (so you can select Single Player mode)
Press F11 (or F12 if you used F12 last time)
Press ESC > Save Map
Go to survival test on Minecraft, load your map. Badda-bing badda-boom.

I made a thread dedicated on how to do this.
