Looking at getting myself a new pc and had a guy lets me know of some parts a few months ago. He told me to look at intel core i5-4460 processor, 8gb DDR3 1600MHz Ram, GTX 750 TI 2gb graphics card. Would this be capable of running smoothly with mods installed? I have no idea about this sort of thing so any help would be great.
Also would it be capable of running games like Ark and Gta and that sort of things at good settings?
Thanks for the reply mate. Yeah figured the performance would come down to what and how many mods i use. Though i wouldn't be using many i don't think. I've never used any mods so just looking to experiment
Just FYI, as far as running Minecraft with mods goes, (and any game for that matter) your not gonna hit much of a performance loss with strictly mods that add blocks. However, if you have a lot of mods that are always running, like Envriomine, Minecraft Comes Alive, MatMos, and so on, that are constantly doing block updates then there's a problem. Regardless of how good your PC is, having to many "update" mods like that will make Minecraft as a whole lag. I've given my Minecraft instance 16GB of RAM to work with and it has still lagged with 181 mods installed. Again, because I had like 10 of those doing constant updates in the background. This is something you'll need to keep an eye out for in any game you mod. Good luck on the computer build though!
