Very cool thanks, I am sure I will find a use for this, as my other mods have been discontinued due to the size and nature of the 2 mods I am working on now.
I am not sure, haven't had that one myself, double check all your classes in case you missed something and I will try to look for an answer myself for that...

is it possible for you to help me or am i just making a basic mistake
Okay, first....what version of MC are you using, these tuts are for MC 1.4.7 and forge1.4.7-6.6.0.491<< the version I have been using. Second are you copying straight from you vanilla source? If so it wouldn't matter what version MC you have so long as you follow what changes I make as the code for the table and the furnace are the same, more or less, since 1.4.5. Lastly, PM me your class files for the table (all of them) in code form and I will try to look at it tomorrow, I work tonight so no dice on getting to it that soon.
I am really not seeing the problem just looking at the code, when I have some time tomorrow I will run your code in my spare setup to see if I can find anything out, but as I just learned my self how to make the furnace, I am not promising anything, though maybe someone else can help...

Ok, thank you.

To all having trouble, I have followed my tutorial step by step for both the furnace and crafting table now that my mod is once again in a running state for testing. I created a new furnace and table for testing purposes to see where there may be flaws, I have found none. My GUI's pop up nicely, crafting works and same for the smelting in furnace. The arrow works and adding new recipes to both also works. If you are having problems, you are not following all steps necessary, or are using the wrong version of MC. If you are following steps and using the right version of MC and are still having trouble, post it here, I will take a look, but if it is a simple missed step I will let you know...However there should be no problems if all steps are followed correctly....

Im not sure exactly how but its fixed. I was copying directly from your own crafting table tutorial and i was using forge 499.
Now I have a compleatly different question how can i save and int using nbt tags. I am currently using this code to save strings. I was wondering how to save int values
As for NBT tags, I just done know yet, and anyone wondering about server issues, yes it would probably be a good idea for you to use packets, but as I have yet to learn how for this, and yes I have seen the tut on the forge forum and its no help to me, though they are not necessary if playing SSP or even lan. I have asked a couple of peopl for help, and will be getting some help when my mod is more complete and ready for sharing. It is a huge mod, emphasis on huge, and will be near 75% in about a week...
So I was able to finally get everything working, furnace is textured correctly, gui opens up and stays open, haven't had any problems except that I can't move items in my inventory while my gui is open. If you have an idea as to why this is but need to see my code let me know...
Find out how I generate....coolAlias...world structure generation and rotation tool...
Then in the block class or wherever you declare your step sound add this...
and of course change the Sounds.NECRO_DEATH with the path to your sounds

The Sound String class
Sound Handler class
and finally in the client proxy register it with
and just leave that one blank, then in the main mod class under the PreInit area use the line
proxy.registerSoundHandler();
