Hello everyone, this is the official page for the minecraft forge tutorial page. i will apologize for the lack of tutorials and for the lack of organization for the first post however the post will be getting better as time goes on. the tutorials on this page are created by darkhax, Asyncronous(leah) and Jcm2606(jake).

this page will be under maintenance while i add some of the tutorials to it. expect more updates soon, and if you have a problem come talk to us on #minecraftforgetuts

lol, you can make it faster by changing the velocity. i didnt really explain that tutorial much. we will be adding new tutorials however it wont be weekly like my other tutorials.

also i will be taking down the tutorials once the new page is stable enough. we also plan to stop doing specific mod tutorials such as "how to make a block give a poison effect when walked on" or how to make a block do this. instead we will be doing an advanced block property tutorial and then we will make tutorials on the diferent methods one can use for a block. we will include diferent examples of how it can be used. these examples along witht eh method explination should be able to help out people just as good if not better then before. we will also be making tutorials on how to make diferent blocks such as ladders,torches and stairs however these tutorials will be shorter and all in the same tutorial section.

i agree that a lack of skill and knowledge is within the community and the team will be working on making some tutorials that are more java focused such as how to read a stacktrace.

im going to have a hook tutorial up soon, I hope these will help.

It shouldn't be that hard. If I cant understand it to the point of being confident enough to make a tutorial about it then I will definitely ask leah and jake to help explain it a bit more. If I manage to go full on potato and no understand what they say I will pass the job to them. I enjoy making event/hook tutorials because nobody likes to do them XD

That would be to broad of a topic to cover as there are many many changes. I have always hated tutorials that try to go over this because they are often inaccurate. If you go on our IRC we will gladly help you out if you need help updating.
