I have Saturday now
I thing the All APIs are wrong, why? Cos they don't require too much thinking while using them, also when great change in code come, U are sentence to API creators to update it, but when are U learning at source code, U can learn more, and more, and understand whole Minecraft structure, the way how its written and its really helps, morover u don't need to w8 to API creators, cos when u see main class, and say "Oh they change this method to that, and now its here, now its simpler" etc and u will faster update ur mod to new version.
If i need something from MC i just look to the code of item,block etc, similar to why i want to make, fingure out how its work, looking at function names etc, i think its the best way to learn, especially in JAVA where everything is well described in the names, i learned C++ and some OpenGL, and they are harder o learn than MC code, and u can read it like normal sentences sometimes, and u don;t need to thing at all ;p

The nice thing about APIs is that they put code in a more accessible form. Rather than having to possibly call multiple methods, or create fields to accomplish something, APIs allow you to call a simple method to do the same thing. They can also give us "inside access" to vanilla classes without modifying them ourselves. I'm not opposed to APIs at all, after all, MinecraftForge is an API in itself. One of the nicest things we might be able to get done here is to learn what all of the func_*****'s, field_*****'s, and var*'s in the vanilla code do
I think he was more referring to how your point was unclear and hard to understand, due to the writing style employed, if I am not mistaken. That's why I would've asked.

Learn some Java before you mod, and skip over the chapter on ModLoader, straight to MinecraftForge. It's better. Trust me.
Oh, maybe, I don't know english grama pretty well ;/ I think the Forge is enough easy to make everything with it, but if smb is looking for simple API, i recomend to look at MCreator, dev team is doing great work where, and maybe the will include nice features like world gen,dimensions etc.
Yeah man sorry about that. I didn't know. Good points in that post though. But I think the API was also to be a learning tool. Sorry again. I didn't know you we're ESL.
Just a question, for the biome tutorial would i be able to type a code to like check if my biome has spawned? My computer is really bad.. Im getting a new one, but that wont be for awhile... so yeah is there any way to check? thanks

you could always throw an output to the system in the spawn code.

like this
System.out.println("The Biome has generated");
This will work but if you don't spawn near your biome then you'll still have to roam a bit to get the biome to generate and thus the system out message. I believe.

Sure, but that's what he wanted, I think. To see when it spawns, which might not be until he's close to it.

Well then what they provided above will be exactly what you're looking for. I was going to offer to download your mod and test it for you. Let me know if you ever need something like that. Plus, I like beta testing peeps mods.

Alright man! but i'm getting pretty busy now that it's coming up to christmas :P. When it's done i'll let you test it :). BTW my mod is adding an antarctic and arctic with polar bears, penguins, moutains and more (don't want to give too much :P)
EDIT: I have seen this as a bukkit mod, but I don't have time to pursue it at the moment. Sorry. I looked into the methods that handle flying and at my current knowledge level, I can't see a way to make an equipped item make the player fly. I think their maybe a way to make a potion to give the effect or something like that, but as I said I'm too busy to look into it further. Good luck!
So, um... What?

Yeah, but from their earlier post they noted that the computer wasn't great so I was assuming that they didn't want to explore much.
