Ooh I get it. Alot of methods have changed, so update them. If you don't know what to do, just go through the files. I'm not sure what you have to do, but look at the errors :3
crap, well thats pretty annoying X(
but, i thought it was that :S

seems like you named it wrong, or wrong size, you got to make it 16x16
it is 16x16, and the name is right (if i do: C:\Users\Username\Desktop\MC\MCCoding\MCP\bin\minecraft\cowspawner.png it wil find it), and i also have one named cowspawner w/o .png, but it can't find it!
my mod code:
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Random;
public class mod_cowspawner extends BaseMod
{
public static Block cowspawner = (new BlockCowspawner(2050, ModLoader.addOverride("/terrain.png", "/cowspawner.png"))).setHardness(1F).setLightValue(0.5F).setResistance(1.0F).setBlockName("cowspawner");
public mod_cowspawner()
{
ModLoader.RegisterBlock(cowspawner);
ModLoader.AddRecipe(new ItemStack(cowspawner, 1), new Object[] {
"D",Character.valueOf('D'), Block.dirt
});
}
public String Version()
{
return "1.7.3";
}
}
(will change the recipe later + add the redstone active thingy tutorial)
I have realized that crafting with damage value items is not possible ingame. I tried both suggestions, but still got errors, cow monkey, yours game me 75 errors, hehe. Ive recently bought a book on java programing, ill see if I can fix it with the knowledge gamed from that book.
Hey, I don't know if you allready did this or not, or someone asked for you to do it, but can you make a tutorial on how to make a config file for getting a int from config file without modloader. For example
"X" = 10
Then in a class file you want to get that X so,
if (Keyboard.getEventKey() == configfile.X){
//code here
}
That would be appreciated.
Thanks.
i still dont get it! ahh! i suck at this :S
like, how would i string them together and stuff.. where would i put it... ahh, sorry for being a noob at that properties stuff :tongue.gif:

src\minecraft\net\minecraft\src\Simulator\mod_sim.java:11: cannot find symbol
symbol : constructor BlockSim(int,int)
location: class net.minecraft.src.BlockSim
public static Block sim = (new BlockSim(211, ModLoader.addOver
ride("/terrain.png", "/Cow.png"))).setHardness(1F).setBlockName("cow");
^
did you make a class file called BlockSim?

public ItemStack onItemRightClick(ItemStack itemstack, World world, EntityPlayer entityplayer)
{
world.playSoundAtEntity(entityplayer, "YOURSOUND", 10F, 1F);
}
Make YOURSOUND a file from the resources/newsound folder in the minecraft folder.
Also, replace / with .
So playing a ghast sound would be this:
"mob.ghast.charge"
It is located in "resources/newsound/mob/ghast/charge.ogg"
You're going to have to change the
into whatever you named it in mod_Tankite, so if it was Aquastone in mod_Tankite, you would have to make it
thanks for trying to help, but everything is named right, it worked before i updated :S

What about tools, I still have the code from my previous posts, but I still cant get it to work at all.
I meant tools with damage done to them, not dyes.
So what is wrong with this? the start of my errors are at line 33, which is where I start Character.valueOf
Can I not have it all neat in 3 lines like this?
This allows you to add obsidian to a tool to increase its power/durability.

I got it to work!
some tinkering of my own got this up and running! Thanks to harrythenoob for helping me past that first snag, and cowmonkey for the commas.
I took my 3 Character.valueOf lines, and moved them to one line with commas. That fixed the problem!
glad it worked out ;D
