Dura=-1 is something I'd like to thank someone for. It allows the item to be used endlessly without the damage bars... Thank you Problematic
We are going to focus on two commands, &Consume and &Shoot
&Consume is almost like the &Use command, but it consumes an item in your inventory instead of checking what block you right-clicked on...
&Shoot will fire arrows.
Add this to your code:
&Consume,262,1,&Shoot,1
This tells Minecraft "Check to see if player has at least one arrow in there inventory. If there is take one away and shoot an arrow. Otherwise don't shoot an arrow."
Save it create a PNG for it and test it!
Thanks to Club559 for this tutorial.
I have a question, can we change the Consume ID to any ID? Like to shoot Iron or something like that.
I'm making a weapon called Tensa Zangestu and it shoots Getsuga Tenshou.

You can make it 'shoot' anything. But it won't shoot the actual item, it will just consume that item and shoot a regular arrow.

Well I -suppose- I should write something here. But I also should make a new account D<

i changed the Spear To What you typed, still get this
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1000
mod_makeMyItem: Error in newBlockFromFile
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1000
mod_makeMyItem: Error in AddRecipes
Codes are extremely picky... Now that I look at it again things that should be capitalized aren't. For Instance:
MaxStack, SmeltFrom, SmeltTo are all examples of things that need to be capitalized. In fact every property and command needs to start with a capital...
Damn Im tired...

could you tell me how to make a tool destroy bedrock [and make it collectable]? thanks.
I think that actually requires editing the Bedrock file in the vanilla .jar rather than just a case of making an item. I think there's a mod by RoundAround that lets you do that (emphasis on THINK, I know there's a mod that does that and I think it's by RoundAround).
After I made the "Revised Coal" example, I found out that it was losiing durability when I hit things with it. Is that supposed to happen? If not, would it keep durability if I said &Durability=-1? (And yes, I made it type=fuel and it works just fine in a furnace.)
Thanks for the tutorials.
If that doesn't solve it, I don't know what to do. I tested it myself and it worked.
i got That thing and then
spaghetti
Coocked Spaghetti
Coocked Spaghetti
and StektKottFars
to make
# Kott Och Pasta #
ID=705
Uses=1
&Heal,8
##
//Recipe
? X , B , D ,1
*X=502
*B=504
*D=281
##
i think something else is wrong
From what I see your using the wrong IDs
# Kott Och Pasta #
ID=705

//Recipe
?X ,B ,D ,1
? X , B , D ,1
? X, B, D,1

This recipe will use your Stekt KottFares (WTF Is that anyway?!) on top of your Kokt Spaghetti
Which is on top of a bowl.
I've also made it craftable from any of the three positions:
= Item

If you mean a tutorial on how to make items fit the look of Minecraft, I agree, I would want that, too. But if you mean how to assign an item a sprite, that's already explained on the first page.

Here is the names of my files: bladeoftheshadows.PNG for the picture, and bladeoftheshadows.item for the actual coding. I have the .PNG saved in triman/items, and I have the .item saved in the mod/items. It STILL won't work.
Edit
and can you make 32x32 images that work with this mod?
Look up makeMyBlock and no.
Again makeMyBlock.
Download my Clear Land Mod and see how its done...

The file is called Nether Ingot.item, and I have a texture in the .jar that is called Nether Ingot.png, and it is 16x16.
