this is a stupid question but can someone make a simple tutorial on how to make blocks have transparent textures. im making a special private mod that i might release where creepers are invisible with a constant supercharged texture on and glowing sinister eyes :biggrin.gif:
and i wanna change the window texture on my texture pack

Just open the pack up, drag and drop it on to your desktop and edit the terrain.png with GIMP. then find the glass texture in your picture and change it to what you want it to look like and for the transperant textures just open up gimp, select the block you want to make transperant and fill it with white
or any other color using paintbucket. after this click colors, then color to alpha
finnaly just click ok and it will be transperant :tongue.gif:
So this hasn't been stickied yet? I'm surprised. Bump for great justice. It's wicked useful to help me figure out some of the more technical issues that I've been having developing my pack.
I've got a tip! I've actually just started making texture packs, and I use photoshop. I wanted to make 256x256, and so I had to go to Image> Image size to resize it. I ran into the problem that all of the borders were blurry and smudged, so a great idea is to select nearest neighbour from the dropdown in order for the borders to still be perfectly visible.
How do I create a 32x32, 64x64, etc. texture pack?

EDIT: I use paint.net
Just create like you would a 16x16, but you must pay more attention to detail, as it shows more
You take the original textures, and resize it to be however much bigger you need

Can't wait to start my texture pack!
