Why you're signing up: Trying to find a good RPG server.
Position you're applying for: Builder
Previous server building/moderating experience: I own a (small) server, and have played on many types of servers.
Previous RPG server experience: I've played on many different RPG, but have yet to find one that is truly great.
Things you're good at building: Mostly anything that is not too massive, and does not require redstone.
How much time can you spend on the server: About 4-7 hours on the weekends.
Any additional information: Nope. ^^
I would enjoy being a moderator/admin. I have lots of experience moderating, and I know how to handle issues.
Everyone is a builder for the time being.
When we start building, all builders will be interviewed by the senior staff to see what role they will be best suited for. Be patient, we'll get to building eventually.

Finished the drakkin female skin a while ago, and just now finished Kra'ala's skin. Want an idea for what Kra'ala looks like? Imagine a nightmare cyber cyclops with an inferno burning inside it. Yeah, the Great Devourer sure looks evil and alien.
Now, onto the other gods...

Well, he sort of does. He has the black skin like an Enderman. Of course, he's got a giant monstrous eye in his face, and a huge gaping flaming mouth in his stomach. And his wrists have chaotic flaming bracelets that signify his faction. But he slightly resembles an Enderman.

Glad to have you on board. Hey, that reminds me, we may need an official forum for this project. (and maybe a wiki, too!)
Oh yes, and the permissions for the server are almost done, but I will be busy for the next week or so. But, next weekend, we should be clear to start letting people on the server to build! WOOHOO!!

Sorry, I don't mean to, but I'm busy this weekend and all of next week until Friday night (and maybe even then I'm busy). We'll have to wait until the weekend, sorry everyone.
In the meantime, I will try to put up descriptions of the five main cities that we need to build so everyone can get ideas flowing.
Carda: Spawn city, large walls (made of Obsidian or Smooth Stone or Stone Bricks?), walls surround exterior and divide interior of city into districts. Conquering all of Carda is the main goal of the server, and by conquer I mean take control of each district through PvP battles. Within Carda we should have several sprawling residential areas, some market districts, maybe a few religious or palace districts, and of course a large castle at the center. Buildings should be medieval-themed, with a very regal/royal look, but also falling apart and war-torn. Outside the walls, we need an array of tents and things to look like a slum/refugee camp. This camp will serve as the player spawn. Building Carda should be the first priority! Also, I think Carda should be a port city, so close to the ocean or better yet a bay, if you can find one/build one.
Maris: Capital city of Sanctos, Maris will be built on an artificial island in the ocean, with a magnificent bridge leading to the mainland (note: all five cities will be linked by roads, preferably made of Stone Brick, Mossy Stone Brick and Cracked Stone Brick). Maris should have many beautiful fountains and be a wonder to the eye. Think of Atlantis when building Maris. As mentioned before, fountains should be prominent.
Venta: Hayku capital, Venta will basically be a giant tree in the middle of a huge forest (like Hometree, but bigger) and have an entire city sprawling inside it and in its branches. Since Hayku is focused on pleasure and freedom, there should be many bars, clubs, and other entertainment facilities within the city. Try to make players' homes look natural, like they blend in with the tree. Wood and leaves should be prominent.
Terra: Lumen capital, giant underground city. The entrance to the city should be in a mountainous area, and of course have a road connecting it to Carda. Within Terra itself, we need to make a grand, regal hall. Or, to make things sound simple, try and make it a little bit like Moria. As this is the city of the Light god, we need to have ample Glowstone lamps and such, and a little idea that I had was to build a giant statue of either an ancient norgit king, the god Lumen, Animus, or maybe some mysterious figure that no one can remember. But basically, a grand hall underground made for a hard-working people.
Ignia: Kra'ala capital, built inside a giant crater in the middle of a massive desert wasteland. Ignia's crater should probably be walled in, with one entrance (maybe designed to look like a skull?). In the center of the crater will be a giant meteor (made of either Bedrock or Obsidian) that will serve as the home of the Kra'ala faction leader (which also happens to be Kra'ala). Surrounding the meteor should be primitive but sturdy structures made of dark stones, and carved into the walls of the crater should be more homes or structures styled after Petra (think of the third Indiana Jones movie). Fire and lava should also be prominent.
The roads: Carda must be linked to the other four cities via a series of roads, which I think should be made of Stone Brick, Mossy Stone Brick and Cracked Stone Brick. The road should disturb the landscape as little as possible (ex. instead of drilling through a mountain, it should try and curve around it) and also be styled to fit whatever landscape surrounds it. For example, near the ocean/water or in forest (especially when approaching Venta and Maris), more Mossy Brick should be used, while in deserts, warzones or other harsh areas (like near Ignia and Carda) more Cracked Brick should be used. Also, the occasional Glowstone lamp would be nice, but not necessarily a lamp every five meters. One every forty meters or so should do, so that players can still see the road, but it's not entirely safe from mobs or player ambushes.
Villages: Basically, along the roads and between towns, or even a little ways off the roads, some small towns that would serve as PvP conquest goals and important control areas for resources and trade should be scattered here and there. Use your imagination, just don't turn a town into a city. And make sure that in each village there is a place to hoist a "flag" of coloured wool to signify which faction controls that town (these flags should also be present in each district of Carda).
Ruins: Since Entalis is a world of lost civilizations and fallen empires, it is entirely acceptable to build hidden or not-so-hidden ruins throughout the wilderness. These can be either decorative temples, handy pre-built homes for Wildlings, or (for more well-hidden ones) puzzle temples with special rewards for those that can either find the temple or complete the obstacle course/puzzle. Use your imagination with these! But again, don't make it too big, and keep these well away from cities, towns, and roads.
Another overall note is that the cities cannot be too close to each other. This is very important. There has to be quite a distance between each one.
If I have any more ideas, I'll let you know.
Oh, and we really need a signature/banner artist, and a few event writers and such.
