I added 4x 1500-2000+ item per hour mob grinders through out the ocean in random spots.
These are from ML32 and are labeled Lil Behemoth.
The idea is to give players a reason to explore and possibly offer another reason for open sea skirmishes. It is also possible for us to set up portals to these and allow factions to rent these by the week by placing a temp portals within their capital allowing easier access. You can imagine the cost would be high, but so would the benefits of an endless stream of arrows and gunpowder.
I have also been working on the Spawn a little more to make it a little easier to navigate and allow players a little more room.
This will be the World Capital and the largest neutral area in the map. Giving enough room for large airships to land on deck, and smaller air ships (6 block high or less) to land inside of the city.
We also have a multiple mine cart system that leads from each of the inside docking bays to our central Trading hub. This is where you can find portals to all major continents and the largest amount of buy/sell vendors in the game.
Once we agree on the designs and finish everything up, we will post up a video tour of our spawn to allow everyone to see what exactly what we have in store for you all.

I have yet to tell anyone they could or could not play on this server. If you are referring to the age limit please read the following.
We have been discussing about limiting the minimum age to 16-17+. The main reason for this is to aim for a more mature player base. Seeing how we only have our own personal experience with other games we are still unsure how that would impact a Minecraft server.
Also seeing how that is still 3-4 weeks away I would also not worry about an "Age" limit. I can pass on your concerns however Vorlock (Server Owner) will have final say. That will also be added to the Recruitment thread.
Yes, it was stated that we was discussing about putting in an age limit... However I did say later on not to worry about it UNTIL we go live. But I do find it funny how the only ones bickering and going off topic are all under 17, so you all are not helping your cause.
The only time I have said anything about a definite age limit was when it came to testing the map.
Later this week / early next week... We will be asking for a few people to help us test the server out. The restrictions for testing will be non negotiable. First off you must be 17+, have a mic that works (we must be able to understand what you are saying) and ventrilo. If you dont meet any of those requirements you will not be accepted for testing.
This is due needing a mic/vent. When all of us Admins get together and start talking... Things tend to get pretty NC-17 real fast. Plus when it comes to testing out bugs and other items people get annoyed and even pissed at times. Last thing I want to do is deal with someones parents because their kid was swearing/listening to us swear or talk about our recent trip to the strip club.

All in all I'm a pretty easy guy to get along with, and fairly open minded when it comes with dealing with other players and their needs/wants. Most of the players who have followed over to this server can attest for that. Lets face it, if I was an Asshole... None of these guys would be asking to join.

Remember, even though the map is large... Not all land masses are.
Example is One of our Admins is based in Florida. I can build a fairly small cannon on the southern tip of Florida and hit cuba with no problem. (I know this because I did, and had to go to cuba to replace the ground I destroyed.)
So It may be best to wait till your in game and see what the land looks like before making claims.
Also, only 1 city per "nation" can be protected. So if you spread your self out through out the globe you may find your other cites being under attack quite often.
If things work correctly you will be give 4 power per player. Each power = 16x16 (thats 16 long, 16 wide) worth of land. If you die you loose a power. This means you loose 1 - 16x16 section for every death your nation takes.
So Another example is this.
5 people in a nation = 20 16x16 areas for a total of 320x320 blocks.
1 person falls off of his tower and looses 1 power. Your nation is now at 304x304.
Someone comes by and pwns your entire nation. Killing everyone 1 time. So now your at a 14 power which converts to 224x224. So now almost 100x100 of your city land is open for Another nation to claim as their own.
You do get 1 power back every 5 minutes though. So if you can hold off attacks long enough to get your power back you can once again reclaim your city area and keep players from destroying it.
What does all of this mean?
You must use tactics when it comes to where and how you set up your cities.
It takes 2 nations to agree to become an alliance, however it only takes 1 nation to declare war.

I am pretty sure we are finished setting up our plugins now. There was a few we wanted to use that are currently glitched with the recent patch and either dont work properly or conflict with other plugins.
So for the time being this is our current list of Plugins we plan on using.
Combat Tag - Punishes people for logging out after being hit in pvp.
Factions - Allows people to Form nations and then protect / control their main city.
Iconomy - sets up a world currency.
Iconomy Chest shop - Will allow "nations" to set up shops to buy and sell items.
iConomy Death - Not only do you get to take their items, but some of their cash too.
Mob bounty - Get currency from killing hostile creatures
Move craft - Create vehicles for travel or domination via Land, air, or sea.
Stargate - Quick transportation from one location to another via Portals. Prices may vary.
World Guard - Protects certain areas from destruction.
This should round out the plugins.
Again if we missed anything feel free to let us know, or offer ideas for replacement plugins if you have experience these.
I would really like to help you get the map set up and start playing on this server. This server is an amazing idea. I have Java exprience in programming as well as installing plugins and using mod controls. I have exstensive playing exprience on the Voxel Box and several other creative servers. I am 19 and I'm very mature for my age as well. I would really recommend you bring several new plugins from bukkit into the server. I have see these plugins in person and would say that they are essential to any serious server. The first is Voxel port it allows players to take their creations such as a boat that they didnt want to use as movecraft, then set it up as a transport source from place to place. The second is Voxel Doop it allows players to instanly click in stacks of resources from a central location. So you can have one central location or building with one of any resource you want available to building. Then the player can walk in with their doop stick and copy it into their inventory. Another great plugin is voxel more. By typing in /more the player will instanly get 64 of whatever resource he has selected in his inventory. Pretty much all the "Voxel" plugins are terrific, especially for a creative server. Which it would seem you would definetly want becuase the quality of buildings and cities would be much higher. I speak from exprience since I have hosted a server before. The plugins above are definetly worth a look and woudl improve the server a ton.
I was also wondering if under sea building is an option? Becuase I'm a big atlantis fan so if so mayeb soon in the future a secret civilization will be living under the waves. But thats just a thought.
Aimcannon hasn't been updated but works on 1.6 fine i tested it on my server erlier
also hookshot it is basically a grapple hook which will be good in vehicle fights as you can latch onto the over one and pull yourself across to fight over there
I did look at aim cannon and watched the videos on it but we have not tested it in game. You can call me old fashion, but I enjoy the standard cannons more and the possible misfires that can cause personal injury and or death =D
Hookshot I have heard of, but I believe it paired with the Plane mod and gun mods. All of which is not available on bukkit. Let me do some research and see what I can find out.
I'm not big on knowledge when it comes to plugins but maybe there is a plugin for global and nationwide quests? or that could just be set up in-game. There could also be a nation goal to erect a Famous landmark? Eifel Tower, Colleseum, Big Ben, London Eye, Empire State Building, Great wall of China? People would get paid currency depending on how much they contribute to the construction (and that's where the plugin comes in). I do really like the current list of plugins though :smile.gif:

We actually do know voxel. Voxel port would conflict with star gates which we already use and have used for a few months. Voxel dupe / Voxel more is in use for admins and would be over powered for standard players on this server. It is a Survival PVP server, so you will have to gather your resources in order to survive. Once your resources are used up your stuck with either expanding out for new areas or purchasing them from other players.
As for building under the sea.. You are more than welcome to do that, the only limit we give players is you must build within the map area. You can build in the air, land, sea, or ocean floor. Just stay within the map boundaries.
